What is the Average Lifespan of a Long Haul Truck?

Average Lifespan of Semi Trucks
An average car lasts about 200,000 miles or so. A typical semi truck can last up to around 750,000 miles or more. There have even been trucks to hit the one million mile mark! On average, a semi truck drives about 45,000 miles per year. This means that you can probably expect to get about 15 years of use out of your truck.
Highest Truck Mileage Record
While there have been many contenders for truckers with the highest mileage, one stands out above the rest. William Coe, Jr. from Tallahassee, Florida, broke the world record in 2009 by safely driving his semi truck 3,001,276 miles. Coe started driving trucks in February of 1986.

While no truck is going to last forever, there are some things you can do to get the most mileage out of it and make it last as long as possible.
Get Your Oil Changed Regularly
