For 2023, Walt Disney World ticket prices start at $109 per person and max out at $189.However, this doesn’t include a 6.5% sales tax –or add-on options like Park Hopper, Memory Maker, or Water Park and Sports. With these extras, ticket prices can really add up.

The base Disney World ticket prices for 2023 are for guests ages 10 and up. Guests ages 3 to 9 will see slightly lower prices starting at $104. Guests under 3 years old don’t need a ticket.

Important: Just because you have a Disney World ticket in hand does not mean you can get into the park you’re planning to visit. As Disney continues to monitor and limit capacity, you must have an approved Park Pass reservation. Check the Park Pass calendar to make sure your dates are open (availability varies by specific park), purchase your tickets, and then immediately book your Park Pass for your preferred dates.

Disney World Ticket Price Increases

We express ticket prices for Walt Disney World as a range ($109 to $189) because the cost of an individual ticket can fluctuate by day and by park. While Disney advertises that tickets start at $109, many days (in fact, most days) start higher.

While this has always been Disney’s MO, it’s important to note that 2023 Disney World price hikes are steeper than in previous years. Particularly busy days, like during the summer months, start at $129 to $139.

And as we get into holiday territory, you can expect to pay $154 to $189 per ticket on many days, especially weekends.

Additionally, ticket prices vary depending on the park you choose to visit. Three out of the four Disney World theme parks are now more expensive than the fourth –Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios see higher ticket prices than Animal Kingdom.

Prices can increase throughout the year, too, with Disney unveiling ticket price hikes annually. In 2022, Walt Disney World saw two ticket price hikes (one in February and one in December). Planning and purchasing your tickets in advance can help you avoid any unexpected price increases that may occur before your trip.

How Far in Advance Can You Buy Walt Disney World Tickets?

You can purchase your Disney World park tickets well in advance of whenever you’re planning to visit in 2023. As of January 1, 2023, you can purchase tickets for visits through December 31, 2023. Throughout the year, increasingly more dates into the future open up.

Remember, you will need to book a Park Pass reservation after purchasing your tickets. It’s gotten a little easier for 2023 –as of December 8, 2022, a theme park reservation is automatically made for you if you purchase a 1-day ticket. You’ll have to make individual reservations, though, if you’re purchasing multi-day tickets.

2023 Disney World Ticket Prices Breakdown

Previously, guests could purchase a single-day ticket to be used at any park, and they’d make a theme park reservation for the park they wanted to visit. Those Disney World ticket prices ranged between $109 and $159, depending on the day. (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon tickets were only $69 for the day.)

Like we mentioned above, the park you choose to visit directly impacts the cost of your ticket. In 2022, Disney World implemented new park-specific pricing. That means a day at Magic Kingdom will almost always cost more than a day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, for example.

Here’s what a single guest might expect to pay for a no-frills ticket to Disney World with the new park-specific pricing:

• Magic Kingdom ticket price: $124 to $189
• EPCOT tickets: $114 to $179
• Disney’s Hollywood Studios tickets: $124 to $179

Disney World Ticket Add-Ons

When you purchase a ticket, Disney will throw a bunch of extra options at you. Depending on the way you plan to tackle your vacation, some of these, though they add to the overall cost, may really deliver extra value to your experience.

Here’s a look at these Disney World ticket add-ons and what they can offer you.

Park Hopper Add-On

The most common add-on for Disney World Tickets is Park Hopper. This allows you to visit more than one theme park in the same day –and you don’t even need a Park Pass reservation for the additional parks.

Adding Park Hopper costs $60 to $80 per ticket. The cost varies, depending on the park you’re planning to visit. For example, you may see Park Hopper bring the cost of a Magic Kingdom ticket up by just $60 on a Friday in January. However, an Animal Kingdom ticket for that same date may cost $80 to add on Park Hopper.

The cost of Park Hopper can also vary depending on the season, just like park tickets. This add-on can bring your ticket total to just $214 on a non-peak date in January, for example. During the holiday season in December, adding Park Hopper can bring your total to $252.

How does Park Hopper work? You must wait until 2 PM to begin park hopping, and you have to visit your initial park for the day first. That means if you have a ticket to Animal Kingdom with Park Hopper and you want to go to EPCOT, you first have to enter Animal Kingdom and then wait until at least 2 PM to go to EPCOT.

Pro Tip:Is EPCOT all booked up on your desired date? Get a reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, spend the morning riding Rise of the Resistance and Slinky Dog Dash, and then take the Skyliner over to EPCOT at 2. You’ll have a late start, but the festival booths and Spaceship Earth will still be waiting for you.

Water Park and Sports Add-On

For $70, you can add the Water Park and Sports option to your ticket. In addition to entry to one of Disney World’s four parks, you can choose one of the following:

• Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
• Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
• ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
• Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course – FootGolf
• Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course
• Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course
• Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course

Park Hopper Plus

If you are wildly ambitious, you might consider spending the morning at Magic Kingdom, hitting the waves at Blizzard Beach, and then finishing out the day with a co*cktail and fireworks at EPCOT’s World Showcase.

For that, you’d need Park Hopper Plus, which combines the benefits of Park Hopper and the Water Park and Sports options. This adds $85 to each ticket. We expect Disney to announce a price increase on Dec. 8 for Park Hopper Plus.

Memory Maker

Memory Maker costs an additional $69 per day. While it doesn’t offer any advantage in terms of visiting more theme parks, it does offer the opportunity to capture all of the photos and videos you take during your visit to Walt Disney World.

With Memory Maker, you can download and share all of the Disney PhotoPass photos and videos that you take over the course of your visit. Whether you’re capturing a single day or a full week of fun, Memory Maker is flexible –and it gives you everything from picture-perfect photos at iconic park locations to Magic Shots to special extras.

Genie+ (and Lightning Lane)

If you’re hoping to skip the long wait for some rides, Genie+ –and its companion service, Lightning Lane – is a must-have add-on. This on-demand service is an add-on you can purchase each day you’re at the theme parks, and it includes some Lightning Lane entrances in its per-day cost.

However, you can also purchase individual Lightning Lane entry for single rides. Some of the hottest rides throughout the resort, like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, are available for individual Lightning Lane entry purchases. This is a per-ride (and per rider) added cost.

Both Genie+ and individual Lightning Lane entry vary in price, fluctuating depending on demand, seasonality, and park crowd levels. You’ll need to check the My Disney Experience app each day for the price. However, the prices do tend to stay within the following ranges:

• Genie+ ranges starts at $15 per day, but can climb as high as $29 per day
• Lightning Lane single entry starts at $12 per ride, but can reach up to $22 per ride

2023 Disney World After Hours Ticket Prices

In addition to purchasing theme park (or water park) tickets, Walt Disney World also offers special “after hours” parties. These hard-ticket events take place inside the parks after they’ve closed, each with its own special theme, live entertainment, snacks, and even merch.

At Disney World’s After Hours events, Guests get the opportunity to explore the parks at lower capacity. You can ride select attractions with much shorter queues, experience special cavalcades and parades, try new (and often unlimited!) snacks, and have access to exclusive premium food, beverages, and merchandise.

Best of all, you don’t need a regular park admission ticket – or a Park Pass reservation –to attend these events. Your Disney After Hours ticket is all you need, and it’ll even give you access to enter the parks a few hours before the event actually begins. It’s like a chance to hit up some of your favorite rides “for free” before the party starts.

For 2023, Disney After Hours events include:

• Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park:​​ Tickets start at $145 per person. This event gives you an extra three hours to enjoy the Magic Kingdom after the park officially closes.
• Disney After Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Tickets start at $139 per person. This event gives you an extra three hours to enjoy Hollywood Studios after the park officially closes.

Additional Disney World After Hours events will likely be announced later in 2023. Longtime favorites, like those below, are likely to return:

• Disney H20 Glow After Hours: Tickets sold for $70 per person in 2022.
• Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party: Tickets ranged in price from $109 to $199 per adult in 2022.
• Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party: Tickets ranged in price from $149 and $199 per adult in 2022.

Walt Disney World Parking Costs

In addition to purchasing your theme park tickets, you’ll also want to factor in –and budget for –additional costs during your visit. One of the biggest that you’ll face each day is parking.

You have numerous options when it comes to transportation to Walt Disney World’s many theme parks. You can take resort transportation, like the complimentary buses, boats, or monorail routes that travel from Disney world hotels to the parks and Disney Springs. Or, you can drive yourself and pay for parking.

Unfortunately, there’s always a cost for parking. And like your theme park tickets, the price does vary depending on the season.

When you pay to park at a Disney World theme park, your parking pass for that day is good at all four parks –Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Here are the prices:

• $25 per day for standard parking (cars and motorcycles)

• $45 to $50 per day for preferred parking (cars and motorcycles)
• $30 per day for oversized vehicle parking (shuttles, limos, camper trailers, RVs, buses, or tractor trailers)

All parking fees include applicable sales tax.

Note: Parking at Disney Springs is free, but guests are technically not allowed to park in the Disney Springs garages and take transportation to theme parks to eschew parking costs.

Do Disney World Tickets Come With Free Parking?

Unfortunately, purchasing a Disney World theme park ticket doesn’t include free parking. You’ll need to pay the day rate to park at any of the parks.

However, if you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel or have select Annual Passes, you may get parking for free. Registered Guests of resort hotels do enjoy free standard theme park parking (you can upgrade to preferred for $20 per day if you choose). Certain Annual Passholders also have standard parking included in the cost of their pass.

Unfortunately, parking at Disney World is expensive. (Sorry, Disney World tickets do not include free parking.) Whether you’re staying on property or just visiting for the day, you’ll have to pay to park (unless you have an Annual Pass).

Walt Disney World Hotel Parking

If you’re a resort guest, you may skip out on theme park parking costs, but you will have to pay a Standard Overnight Parking charge (for self-parking) if you bring a vehicle to your hotel.

Standard Overnight Parking at Disney World ranges from $15 to $25 a night.
