a) General rules
- Visitor Visas (VIVIS) are aimed at those travelling to Brazil formaximum stays of up to 90 days, without the intention to establish residence, for the purposes oftourismandtransit.

- Transit in national territory: a VIVIS will not be required in case of a stopover or flight connection in Brazil, as long as the visitor does not leave the international transit zone and holds a single ticket (under a single booking reference, stating both the origin and the final destination, regardless of multiple stops or multiple carriers). If the traveller does not benefit from visa waiver and holds separate tickets, having to go through border/passport control when disembarking, s/he must obtain a VIVIS.

Up to 1 year. For some countries, by reciprocity, it can be of 3, 5 or 10 years.

Visitor Visa (e-Visa) - Tourism, Transit and Business (Nationals from Australia, Canada and the USA)
ATTENTION: Effective January 10th, 2024, citizens of Australia, Canada and The United States of America, will resume needing a visa to travel to Brazil on tourism, transit or business.
Nationals of these countries, even if residing in Slovenia, will be able to easily apply for electronic visas (e-visa) through the website https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/, at a final cost of US$80.90 per visa.
The electronic visas will grant multiple entries and have the same duration as the regular ones.

The applicant must present proof of payment at the time of attendance. The transfer must be arranged in advance and the receipt must be issued only after payment has been confirmed by the bank. Visitor Visa (VIVIS) - Adoption
a) General rules
- Visitor Visas (VIVIS) are aimed at those travelling to Brazil formaximum stays of up to 90 days, without the intention to establish residence, for the purpose of internationaladoptionof Brazilian children.
- Foreign nationals from countries with which Brazil holds visa exemption agreements benefit from Visitor Visa (VIVIS) waiver.Clickhereto check whether you require a VIVIS or not.
- Slovenia passport holders are exempt from VIVIS as long as their stay does not exceed 90 days per year (counted from the date of first entry, multiple entries permitted).
- VIVIS holders are strictly forbidden to practise any paid work in Brazil, but are allowed to receive payments from the government, a Brazilian employer or a private entity for the purposes of daily allowances, artistic paychecks, compensation or travel expenses, as well as to receive cash prizes in sports, artistic or cultural competitions.
