VIN Inspections
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office Citizen Patrol handles all VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) inspections.A VIN inspection is a physical inspection of the vehicle's unique identification number for title and registration purposes.
VIN inspections are required in Nevada for any vehicles or trailers which have never been registered or titled in the state of Nevada. VIN inspections may be completed at a DMV office or by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
