MV Viking Venus (2021-built) is the 7th in a 10-unit series of identical cruise ships built for Viking OCEANbetween 2015-2027 (fleet). Vessel design was specifically developed for Viking's revolutionary "small ship travel" all-inclusive vacation concept that combines the "excursions-inclusive river cruising" experience with "affordable luxury" sea cruise vacation product.

Viking Venus cruise ship deck plan shows a total of 465 staterooms for 930 passengers served by 470 crew/staff, 10 decks (of which 6 with passenger cabins), 2 swimming pools (1 infinity pool, 1 covered with retractable roof), 2 Jacuzzi hot tubs, 6 elevators (2 of which are panoramic /with glass walls). This is an adults-only ship (min age requirement 16 yo) and without dedicated kids facilities or programs.

On all Viking Venus decks with cabins, there is a launderette (free of charge passenger-use laundromats). These are self-service laundry rooms equipped with ironing boards, washers and dryers. Detergent is provided (also complimentary).

Like the sisterships, Viking Venus offers an intimate boutique hotel-like feel with its signature decor (Scandinavian-themed), luxury fabrics, spacious lounges with classy leather furniture, gourmet cuisine, unique art collection. Like all Viking Ocean ships, Venus offers longer cruise itineraries (with few sea days), plenty of daily scheduled organized onboard activities, several overnight ports' stays, selection of premium tours (offered complimentary in each port of call). Unlike most new cruise ships, all Viking Ocean liners lack Casino (gambling lounge and bar).

Viking OCEAN's ships are new generation cruise liners implementing some of the industry's top maritime technologies. Among those are the energy-saving hybrid engines (diesel generators and gas turbines), optimized hulls and bulbous bows for max fuel efficiency. All Viking OCEAN ships as design also feature the common for the company's longships/riverboats solar panels (installed on the Magradome pool cover) additionally minimizing the boat's exhaust pollution.
