The United States exported roughly 9.6 million barrels of petroleum per day in 2022. The figures include distillate fuel oil, residual fuel oil and ethanol blended into motor gasoline. As the U.S. has increased its production volume through implementation of unconventional extraction methods, the volume of petroleum products being exported notably increased, peaking in 2022.
