This insane 350Z is built to drift using a twin turbo 6.2-litre LS3 V8
This 350Z has to be one of the wildest Nissans in Australia. Believe it or not it’s built to drift using a twin turbo 6.2-litre LS3 V8.
Aussie company Hi-Tec Oils is the name behind the crazy machine. It was built to compete in local competitions and recently took on the best from around the globe at Formula Drift in Sydney.
Two Garrett GT3071 turbos poke through the bonnet of the Zon high-mount manifolds. The setup cranks out around 750hp at the rear wheels.
It also features a Ross Performance dry sump system, Turbosmart wastegates, MX Performance manifolds and exhaust system, custom alloy intake, intercooler and radiator, electric water pump, custom power steering setup and Proflow clamshell intercooler piping.
The swap to V8 power makes sense when you consider the huge aftermarket support and massive power gains readily available for LS motors.
There aren’t many drift cars in the world built with this level of attention to detail, and this one is proudly Australian.
