Triple Evictions occur in Big Brother in order to send three people home in one week. During this eviction, one Head of Household is named and names three nominees. Then a Power of Veto Competition is held, followed by a Power of Veto Ceremony. After this, the houseguests cast their vote to save one of the nominees. The two nominees with the least amount of votes will then be evicted.
Overview[]
Typically 24 hours or more before it is due to take place, Shawn will inform the houseguests of the impending Triple Eviction. This allows the houseguests time to send in a bootlist for who they wish to save if they happen to be unavailable at the time of the Fast Forward. Failure to do so would result in a penalty vote against the player if they find themselves having to vote during the event. On that night, typically following the previous eviction, the Head of Household and Power of Veto competitions are played out back to back, with short spaces in between for the Nomination and Veto Ceremonies. Once the final three nominees are confirmed, there is a short voting time, in which bootlists also get tallied, and the second and third evictions of the night then takes place. In some instances, the HOH competition for the week directly following the Triple Eviction may also get played in the same night.
