Proof of vaccine is required for most travelers to Brazil. Travelers of all ages must verify with their airline well in advance of travel if they will be required to present proof of vaccine status.
COVID-19 travel regulations change frequently and at times without warning. The Government of Brazil updated its vaccination requirements for children subsequent to our February 18 MASCOT message and, as of February 22, returned the minimum age to present proof of vaccination to 12 years of age. Please check with your airline as well as the Brazil National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) for the latest travel requirements prior to travel. While Brazil’s COVID-19 vaccination requirements may change, the CDC recommends that U.S. citizens eligible for vaccination should not travel internationally until they are fully vaccinated. The U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory for Brazil is currently Level 4: Do Not Travel due to COVID-19.
