The scenario at hand presents a challenge: you operate as a financial trading company, and your business provides your clients with the worlds number one trading platform, Metatrader. Thus far, all seems well, doesn't it?

However, here lies the predicament – your competitors also provide this very platform for their clients. Welcome to the world of financial trading brokers, where everyone touts the same unique selling points.

Having worked for various trading companies during our time as a marketing agency, there are only so many ways you can keep saying the same messaging over and over but with a slightly different twist for each campaign. We claim to have the fastest execution, we have the world’s leading platform, our customer service is superior, exceptional liquidity, you get the idea. So, it was exciting to learn that our client was introducing a new iteration of the Metatrader platform, IX ONE.

IX One emerged from the ingenuity of INFINOX and their development team, who took the Metratrader platform, which as we know is a brilliant platform and used by millions, and made it even better.

The new platform came with a sleek new user interface which was more streamlined and user friendly than the original MT4/5 version. Other key features are a fully customisable front end, more social and influencer options to attract partner traders to switch to the new platform and many other new innovations.

For a design company like ours, the standout feature for marketing the platform was its modern, clean user interface. It's fair to say that while Metatrader is an industry leader, it has never been renowned for its "sexy" aesthetic. It’s functional, akin to the Ronseal of trading platforms - it does what it says on the tin.

So gone were the days where I’d give the designers a set of Metratrader screen shots to work with and they’d moan and groan "what do I do with these?". We now had something we can work with and was proud to show off and set about creating a set of new exciting and dynamic visuals to showcase the new IX One platform.

Our initial task involved devising a campaign to herald the platform's launch. We wished to maintain the sleek black theme in the design, even though INFINOX typically leans towards white in its branding. This approach lent the brand a premium appearance.

Once the campaign imagery and display advertisem*nts were completed, our focus shifted to the video required for promoting the platform through their media channels and at Forex exhibitions.

The concept behind the video revolved around aligning the platform's launch with a rocket lift-off, with the platform's features showcased as the rocket journeyed from planet to planet. Trouble was, we lacked the resources for an actual rocket launch or space voyage, so we turned to stock libraries to unearth suitable clips.

Contemporary online stock libraries, such as artlist.io, have elevated the video licensing industry to new heights. Unlike in the past, we now have access to clips that rival those a professional production company might capture. Armed with these clips, we pieced together the video and applied substantial post-production work to personalise it for IX One.

Once the video was complete, we commenced adapting it for use across social channels and initiated the rollout of a series of multi-language Google Display banners.

Simultaneously, we worked on brochures, websites, exhibition stands, and other media, all intended for the platform's launch and ongoing promotion.

Since the launch of the IX ONE platform, it has garnered acclaim for its user-friendliness and the additional features it offers. Many industries grapple with the challenge of shared unique selling points and having that one distinguishing factor can be a game-changer for clients, simplifying our role as a marketing agency.
