good times working here, but poor management and crew environment. lots of bullies and narcissists. my advice is stay in your lane and don't trust anyone.

Applying to become a crew member at Trader Joe's has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Two of my uncles, who had worked for the company for about 15-20 years previously had helped me get the job and I wish I could thank them more. It is a great work experience for anyone, especially for students who are looking for their first part-time job.

Trader Joe's is one of the most outgoing jobs that also truly gives back to its workers. There is so much to be learnt working by yourself and especially as a team, as it truly comes in handy to work together. All of the work that is put into each day is given back with a review every 6 months as a reflection of your work habits, as well as opportunities for promotion every step of the way. The benefits are also some of the best out there. Honestly could not ask for more.

The benefits Trader Joe's provides for their employees is elevated beyond other companies. Along with paid-time off, the atmosphere of professionalism provided by managers and expected by other coworkers is unlike other companies. Required harassment trainings allows higher-up professionals to enforce an accepting work environment.

I used to work at a Trader Joe's in Las Vegas, Nevada. I stayed there for three years and the crew and mates quickly became my second family. The customers were demanding but some were enjoyable. I also held a position of responsibility as an order writer and section leader. The only negative thing I might mention is the hiring process and how family and friends were hired of the current employees. This created a lot of drama and created uncomfortable work envionments for myself and others. It felt as nothing could be done about it because of the large amount of relationships involved.

At Trader Joes in dc I was a crew member with includes many different jobs including stocking clerk, cashier, sanitation station, and shopping cart collection. The people and culture were great, easily picked up habits from more experienced team members which really helps in the day to day grind. Customer satisfaction is very important and stressed to you from the store captain, to the mates on shift with you at the time. As long as common curtesy is kept, and you can be helpful to customer, there is going to be a problem. It's a very diverse staff so there are many approachable people if you ever need anything, and there is a lot you can learn.

Trader Joe's has great pay and full benefits that require very little physical/emotional demand for the job (as long as you're extroverted). You will meet a lot of great people working here and that's consistently been said to be the best part of the job. The only area they could improve on is that management in most stores has become more focused on corporate values than on the crew.

What I like about Trader Joe's is the amount of opportunities for employees to grow within the company. When I first started at Trader Joe's I was surprised by the amount of senior employees who had been with the company for as long as 20+ years. I quickly learned why my peers had decided to create a career at Trader Joe's. The company has provided employees with a livable wage and opportunities to grow. Employees are eligible for a raise every 6 months, for an increase as high as a dollar every 6 months. This provides crew members with the incentive to better themselves within the company and have their hard work recognized. One thing I would like to see change in the company is the movement of managers and shift leads. The company moves store managers between locations at a maximum of every three years. I find this very difficult as employees make connections and stores become as close as family.

Very very woke and said they put their employees first, but as soon as the pandemic hit, they ordered commands from daddy gov rather than staying true to caring for the crew members like they said. No tolerance for people with views outside of the news narrative (ii.e. LGBTQ, BLM, lord fauci) The pay was decent. The possible benefits were also good.

I think that working at Trader Joe's has been one of the most life changing experiences. I have always had mediocre jobs growing up and nothing beats Trader Joe's. While working here, I have had the best pay I've ever had and the environment is one of the best I've ever been apart of. It has made me become a happier person while working in customer service, which hasn't always been the best in the past. I go to work excited and not dreading the day ahead. I also love the family of crew members around which makes my day brighter as well. Lastly, I always get told how lucky I am to be working here and I how I landed a job here, it is seriously one of the best jobs ever that I can take with me as well.

I worked at two Trader Joe's locations as a crew member and I must say that both locations had the most kind staff to work with. Great team to be a part of and the 401k benefits are a 10% match.

Honestly one of the best jobs I've ever had. I worked decent hours, never too early or late in the day, with really great pay. I even accrued paid time off that increased with my weekly hours as a bonus. The company really cares about its employees and does its best to make you feel appreciated. There were semi-annual interviews where the managers go over what you do well with and award you a raise. All of the employees were incredibly friendly, and the environment was judgement free and safe. It never felt like work while being here because I actually enjoyed the job. I made so many friends I still connect with and it helped me learn social and people skills. The discount was fun too, especially with how amazing all of their products are!

Friendly employees and the job offers good opportunities to connect with your community. The schedules are made 3 weeks ahead of time so they give you ample time to plan your life. It can be hard on the body though, because you are standing all day and constantly moving.
