My two favorite craft stores: Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts and Michaels. Since we’ve already discussed 16 ways to save at Michaels, today we’re delving into the many ways one can save at Jo-Ann’s. Never pay full price, because you literally never have to.

Tips for Saving Money at Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts (1)

1. Coupons!

Ilove coupons, and so does Jo-Ann’s. I knew we were meant to be friends. They have coupons on their website, on their app and if you receive their text alerts you’ll get coupons that way as well. Text BEADS to 56266 to get on their list. Standard rates apply, that is if you don’t have unlimited texts on your cell phone plan.

2. They accept competitor coupons!

Jo-Ann’s will accept competitor’s coupons from stores like Michaels, provided that the item(s) are available at both stores.

For example: Say you want to get three yards of regularly priced fabric from Jo-Ann’s and they do not have a current coupon (or their coupon excludes it). Michaels has a coupon for 50% off one regular priced item, the only problem is that Michaels doesnot sell fabric. In this instance, you would do better using a coupon from another competitor that does sell fabric. Make sense?

3. They allow the use of more than one coupon per order.

Say whaaaa? This is why Joann’s is in my top two favorite craft stores! I’m a couponer at heart, and being able to use both a30% off one regular priced item and a 20% off entire purchase? I get a little crazy on those days. Don’t forget that you could use a Michaels coupon, or another competitor, for a percentage off even more items, provided that the items are sold at both stores. Note that the use of a 30% off regular price item coupon will exclude that particular item from also attaching to the 20% off entire purchase. Just remember that only one coupon can be applied per item. This means that you could use another competitor and a Michaels and a regular-priced Jo-Ann’s coupon AND an entire purchase Jo-Ann’s coupon. Yassss!

4. Check your receipt!

This stands at ALLstores, not just craft stores or Jo-Ann in particular. If there is a survey at the bottom of your receipt, most times you will be offered a coupon for your participation. I’ve even had friends win $50 gift cards to other stores just for giving their two cents!

Worth your time!

5. Get on their mailing list.

Recipients receiveproject ideas, announcements, special offers and more.

Head on over and enroll in their teacher’s program and get 15% off every. single. day. You will receive a Teacher’s Discount Card within 3-4 weeks that you can use as often as you wish. Remember to take your teacher ID with you to the store the first time you go to use your card.

This includesMilitary service members and eligible family members. You must present proof of your military service, past or present, or Military Dependent ID upon checkout to receive your discount.

9. Check your rebate apps!

If you already know what you want, and don’t need to shop in store, then rebate apps such as Ibotta and Rakuten will save you some dough as well as a trip to the store. Ibotta is my favorite of the rebate apps that I recommend, and many times they offer a $10 BONUS with your first rebate submission. That’s $10 back for buying something that I already intended on purchasing anyways. I love those new user promotions! Heck ya!

10. Hit up the clearance rack!

But, isn’t that just about anywhere you shop? That’s usually the first place I look. Not gonna lie. 😀

When you’ve got this many ways to save at Jo-Ann’s, they make it easy to come back again and again. What’s not to love?
