IAS and IPS are high-profile jobs but it is very difficult to clear these exams. Many students prepare for years to crack these UPSC examinations and even after that most of them fail to get the desired rank. However, there is one particular village called Madhopatti in the state of Uttar Pradesh that is called the factory of IAS and IPS.
Why so? It is because 75 families from this small village in the district of East Jaunpur have 47 IAS, IFS, IRS, and IPS officers. It has made Madhopatti a village with the highest number of candidates working in civil services in India.
Usually, candidates appearing for such exams join renowned coaching classes. Surprisingly, there are no such coaching classes or training centers in Madhopatti. Even then the candidates have emerged successful in such large numbers in the UPSC exams because of their sheer dedication and hard work.

Incidentally, the number of officers in this small village is so high that during local festivals the entire village roads used to have cars with red and blue lights earlier.
5 IAS from one family
According to Zee News, the village first came into the limelight when 5 candidates from one family became IAS officers. In 1995, Vinay Singh from this village became an IAS officer and after that, over the years 4 more candidates from this family successfully cleared the IAS exam.
Interestingly, not only men but even women from this village have become IAS and IPS officers without any support of coaching classes or training.
That is the reason why Madhopatti is now known as the factory of IAS and IPS.
