1. Rolex Cosmograph Daytona
It's no secret: The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona has been a true legend for a long time. Once overshadowed by the Submariners and GMT Masters, the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona has become one of the biggest icons in the luxury segment since. In 2017, the original Paul Newman Daytona was auctioned for 17 million, catapulting the series into watch Olympics.

2. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak
Audemars Piguet revolutionized the watch industry in the 1970s with the launch of the Royal Oak. At a time when horological creations in gold and platinum were shaping the market, the traditional Swiss watch manufacturer took a bold step to bring a breath of fresh air to its product line. While the competition relied on precious materials, Audemars Piguet, in collaboration with the world-renowned designer Gérald Genta, launched a watch with a steel case - with success: From a scandalous exceptional model, the Royal Oak quickly became a legendary icon. To this day, the watch industry would be unthinkable without it and it is considered a classic par excellence.
With a diameter of 39 millimetres, the Royal Oak skilfully combines sporty and noble design. The watch carries a piece of important watch history within it and symbolizes the epitome of courage and innovative spirit.

3. A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1
Since its launch in 1994, the Lange 1 from A. Lange & Söhne has rightly been the flagship model of the manufactory from Glashütte. Its design is revolutionary and for the first time adopts a decentralised arrangement for the representation of time, as the dial is not fully utilised. Instead, the free space is available for other functions such as a large date, power reserve display, and small seconds. All displays form an equilateral triangle so that the harmony of the overall view is not disturbed in any way.
Recognition value guaranteed: If you want distinctive design, the Lange 1 is definitely worth a look and could be an investment that pays off. Since 1994, the value of this timepiece has been rising continuously. While you paid around 13,700 euros for a new Lange 1 in 1994, the purchase price rose to 31,700 euros in 2017. This was not least due to the upgrade in 2015 when the series was equipped with the caliber L121.1.
If you are considering an investment in watches from A. Lange & Söhne, one special feature of the Manufacture is interesting: the company produces all the elements for its watches itself. The production is correspondingly lower so that in the end you are holding limited and unique masterpieces in your hands.
Fun fact: One of the founders at CHRONEXT also swears by the Lange 1. It is not unusual to come across Philipp Man in the office with his favourite watch on the wrist.
4. Tudor Black Bay S&G
Two-tone watches celebrated a revival in 2017 with new launches like the Rolex Sky-Dweller and the Breitling Galactic 41. Since then, the industry has been buzzing with rumours of a two-tone comeback in 2020. One of our favorite two-tone models these days is the Tudor Black Bay S&G. The ongoing nostalgia for the fashion of the 1980s and 1990s seems to be a decisive factor for two-tone appeal, especially among younger watch enthusiasts. In fact, many of us here at CHRONEXT have been leaning further and further towards two-tone design.
The Tudor Black Bay S&G is a part of the coveted Heritage series and has been available in an elegant symbiosis of gold and stainless steel since 2017 – a fusion of which can only increase the value of the model.
Whether you are a fan of the black or champagne-coloured dial – the watch ticking with the MT5612 movement is available in two versions and is interesting for future investments.
5. Glashütte Original Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date
Along with A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte Original is one of the top German manufactories that are worth more than just a glance. The company from Saxony stands for first-class craftsmanship worldwide and is known for its breathtaking fusion of tradition and modernity. Probably one of the most exciting creations from Glashütte Original is the Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date series.
A special feature of the Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date is the exquisite sapphire case back, which reveals the characteristic features of the Glashütte manufactory. In addition to bevelled edges, polished steel parts and blued screws, you can marvel at details such as the ribbed Glashütte three-quarter plate or the skeletonized rotor with 21-carat gold oscillating weight.
The collection is limited to 100 pieces each and is a tribute to Glashütte Original's more than 170-year-old manufacture.
