Teens in The Sims 4: High School Years live more complex lives than ever with an interactive high school, new community lots, and careers. Players can tell all kinds of stories with the added gameplay features, including things like failing school or even graduating early. Teens who graduate early can leave high school with their diplomas before aging into Young Adults.

Not every teen is offered the chance to graduate early, and it will require hard work and dedication. However, those who do get a head start on their career or even higher education if players have the Discover University Expansion. So, here's how Sims can graduate from high school early in The Sims 4: High School Years.

Early graduation is only available to teen Sims with an overall grade of A or above. Everyone starts high school as a C student and must increase their grade gradually as they attend classes. High School Years allows players to follow their teens and live out their school day with them. This includes attending class, choosing a locker, having lunch, taking exams, and more.

Players will have to complete tasks just like for Social Events, and at the end of the day, they will receive a bronze, silver, or gold medal for their work. Then, their overall grade progress will update accordingly. Teens will also leave each day with new homework that they must complete before the next class day. The grade increases when a yellow check mark appears next to their progress bar, and they have completed all the promotion tasks. When they have an A, players will get a pop-up message asking if they wish to graduate early.

If players click "OK," another pop-up appears saying their teen is an early graduate. This action will automatically skip the Graduation Ceremony, and a high school diploma will arrive in the mail after a couple of days.

Of course, players can still throw a graduation type of party if they want, but they can not attend an official ceremony hosted by the school. If they don't wish to graduate right then, players can choose "Cancel." After that, if they change their mind, they can use a computer or talk to the principal to graduate early as long as they maintain their grade.

When a Sim graduates early, they no longer have to attend classes but will remain a teenager. They also receive a unique trait that reflects their status. Teens who graduate early have the same options as Young Adults with a high school diploma regarding the workforce. They can get a full-time career immediately or apply for scholarships and enroll in University early.

Until they age up, teens will still be invited to Prom even if they aren't in high school anymore, so players can still enjoy other parts of the pack's gameplay. However, after-school activities like Cheer or Football will automatically be quit, and all progress will be lost. In addition, early graduates are still under the same rules as other teens and can't live independently or adopt children.
