The Sims 4 Criminal Career is one of ten careers available in the game. The career starts out in a less-than-optimal place. The pay at all five early levels is really lousy compared to other careers. However, the criminal career has one saving grace: Bonuses.
Throughout the entire career, promotion bonuses are much larger than what you would see in other careers. The early career rewards are all about boosting the playful mood which is the desired mood. Mischief is the only required skill. Unfortunately, that doesn’t synergize as well as you would think. Playfulness doesn’t help you gain skill faster in Mischief. Angry actually boosts that. Also, playful mood aura objects are not helpful when your Sim goes to work, as the aura fades as soon as your Sim is no longer near the object. To get a portable playful moodlet, just view funny videos on Sims.TV, doable from any computer via the web menu.
You can gain Mischief skill by using the “Troll teh Forums” interaction on the computer, or by performing Mischievous interactions…which is what the Criminal Career’s daily task is anyway. Thus performing interaction on other Sims both fulfills the daily requirement and builds the required skill. Finally, don’t depend on a steady schedule in the Criminal Career: the hours and days worked jump all over the place.
The Boss Branch has undergone some changes and starts to get a little tricky. Focused becomes the new desired mood and mean interactions are your new requirement…at first. For two levels the daily task switches to ‘upgrade objects’ which synergizes nicely with the new and quickly growing Handiness skill requirement. Since object upgrades are worthwhile tasks even if your career isn’t asking for it, upgrading objects and gaining work performance for doing so is a win-win. The Boss branch is by far the most profitable of the two branches, paying more per hour AND having you work fewer hours a week.
The Oracle Branch looks strictly inferior to the Boss branch at first glance. All of the levels pay you less per week compared to the Boss branch. What isn’t included, is the fact that your daily task (hacking or making viruses) will earn you money every time you do it, so it can be seen as supplemental income that isn’t shown on the normal numbers. It does require more hours a week than the boss branch. While you get a really nice computer on this branch, you may want to invest in a high reliability computer in the mean time if you have a sim that will be going down this path.
Given how often your Oracle will be using the computer, you want to keep breakdowns to a minimum. If you want your Oracle to use the computer when practicing Mischief, it is best to have a focus room with Angry or Happy aura items to help you build the skill. For more information on mood focused rooms, see our Emotions Guide.
At level 5, gamers can choose from two branches: "Boss" and "Oracle". The "Boss" branch is more rewarding with less working hours, while the "Oracle" branch will reward you some extra bucks.
Somewhat surprisingly, the ideal mood for criminals (up until level 5 of the career) is playful! This can be explained by the mischief requirements for levelling up though. After level 5 the ideal mood changes to Focused for both branches.
When The Sims 4 Strangerville was released, a lot of new features were added. One of them is the Military Career. This Career currently has the highest salary among all the other Careers. It has two branches, and Simmers can pick one of them when they've reached level six.
It is the perfect career for those interested in gaining fame, as it allows Sims to gain celebrity status over time. Additionally, Sims will also earn good money through their acting career, making it a great way to make a living.
In The Sims 4, law is one of those careers that allows Sims to work from home and spend time with their friends and family. It consists of 10 levels with two branches: Judge and Private Attorney.
While earning a degree from either institution will greatly benefit your Sim's career prospects, graduating with a distinguished degree will give your Sim an extra advantage. However, distinguished degrees also carry higher entry requirements, and being accepted onto one is not guaranteed.
Part-time jobs in The Sims 4 have fewer opportunities for promotions and lower income compared to full-time jobs. The best part-time jobs in The Sims 4 include being a Barista, Video Game Streamer, and Manual Laborer, each with their own schedules and pay rates.
Sims with Poor or Dismal job performance risk being demoted, but they will not be fired unless they miss two days (3 days in The Sims Bustin' Out) in a row. If a Sim is eligible for a promotion, Good performance increases his or her chances of getting it, and Excellent performance increases them even more.
Criminal Career gets you arrested way too often. It´s way too difficult to ever get promoted in the criminal career. You get arrested and lose progress at least every second time you go to work in between your next incarceration and your last. Your performance doesn´t have a say in the matter, either.
Basically, a sim with the psychopath trait won't feel any emotion at all. Won't feel joy nor sorrow. They will be able to increase their skills much faster, mainly on charisma and mischief, they are easily liked because they are charming and their fun meter decreases faster, so they get bored often.
The Sims 4 allows players to step into the shoes of a brave soldier with the Military Career. This career is one of the many options available, and like most other careers, it also comprises 10 levels and 2 branches; Covert Operator & Officer.
The Master of the Real Branch focuses on art for art's sake. A crucial reward object is the Deluxe All-Season Easel which has the highest painting quality rating in the game. Once you get that, paint exclusively on that easel to maximize the value of your paintings and increase the odds of creating a masterpiece.
You would have to quit your current career then start again in the same career and when you get to the point where you choose career path you can choose the other path.
The Villain Branch ditches the desire for the charisma skill and trades it for Mischief, demanding that you get up to level 6 by the end of the branch and making it your daily task. Since Focus doesn't help gain Mischief skill, you may want to avoid the 2 day long focus moodlet when trying to build up Mischief.
