Is the OEC a reliable source? ›

The OECD provides a setting where governments can compare experiences, seek answers to common challenges, identify good practices, and develop high standards for economic policy. For more than 50 years, the OECD has been a reliable source of evidence-based policy analysis and economic data .

OEC is the relative value of an equipment compared to the rental fleet value. It is used to indicate the importance (weight) of the equipment in the fleet. The OEC is valid for 60 days from the first day it is issued. It is only valid for a single exit from the Philippines so domestic workers need to apply for a new OEC everytime they exit from the Philippines.

Only Balik Manggagawa (BM) or OFWs returning to the same employer and job site with previous records in the POEA/DMW database are eligible for the OEC exemption. Returning workers have the opportunity to acquire their OEC online through POPS-BAM and may be exempt from paying the OEC processing fees.
