Terms of Service Amazon Career Choice (2024)

By submitting your payment request for Amazon Career Choice (the “Program”) you are certifying, to the best of your knowledge, that the information on the payment request is complete and accurate. You understand that falsification, misstatement, or omission of information in connection with your payment request may disqualify you from receiving any educational assistance benefits and/or result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of your employment.

You acknowledge that you have read and understand the Program documents, including the Program Guidelines and FAQs. You acknowledge that you understand and accept your rights and responsibilities under the Program.

You understand it is your responsibility to make sure the payment request process is fully completed. If it is not, your payment request may be rejected. By submitting your payment request for the Program, you authorize the educational institution identified in your request to release your educational records (including academic records (such as transcripts) and other administrative records (such as sources and amounts of financial assistance)) to the Amazon group of companies (collectively “Amazon”) to help administer the Program. You acknowledge and agree that as a condition of your participation in the Program, you must provide directly to Amazon upon request, copies of your educational records (including academic records (such as transcripts) and other administrative records (such as sources and amounts of financial assistance)).

As part of your participation in the Program, Amazon will share your contact information with Program-partner schools, recruiters, employers and coaches, who may contact you to offer enrollment and support services related to your education or job search. You may adjust your contact preferences at any time in your Career Choice Profile page. If you received prepayment for a course and withdraw, fail, or do not otherwise successfully complete the course, you understand that you will not be reimbursed for any expenses (including required books and fees) associated with the course. In addition, no future payments will be made until the full amount of the Amazon assistance provided is repaid to Amazon, or until you retake and successfully complete the course at your own expense.

If Amazon determines, in its sole discretion, that there has been an overpayment to you or the educational institution in connection with the Program, Amazon may recover the amount of the overpayment in accordance with applicable law. Your request for payment, upon receipt, becomes property of Amazon.

By submitting your payment request to the Program, you also consent to Amazon using your name and likeness and any other information or materials in connection with the Program, in accordance with applicable law, for purposes of news, publicity and advertising in all media, including but not limited to print and electronic media, press releases, internet websites, and video media. You agree that all usage rights granted pursuant to these Program terms are provided without requiring further notice, consent from, or royalty, payment or other compensation to, you, unless otherwise required by applicable law. Your personal data will be collected and used for the Program in accordance with the Career Choice Privacy Notice (the “Notice”). In addition to the personal data identified in the Notice, Amazon may collect the following data about you for purposes of administering the Program: school name, class/course, start and end date of class/course, schedule, academic records, achieved certificates and credits, tuition support documents, program completion, job transition. Some of this personal data may be collected from schools, program coaches, hiring partners, and other partners supporting the Program.
