Following a fairly successful third season of the show, which saw Michael Ross (played by Patrick J. Adams) finally make his peace with leaving Pearson Specter for an investment banker job, the fourth season had a lot of questions to answer. The first episode of season 4 describes the new normal for the different characters of the show, starting with Harvey who seems to be coming late for work every single day.

He has a new associate, Rachel, who's working part-time and studying law at Columbia University. Mike is in his new office at Sidwell Investment Group, with an assistant named Amy. All the occurrences in this episode of the series take place three months after Mike left the firm.
