Sub-Tier Supplier Definition
A sub-tier supplier is a company that provides materials, components, or assemblies to another company, which in turn produces products or provides services to customers. In the automotive industry, for example, sub-tier suppliers might provide parts and assemblies to tier-one suppliers, who then supply them to automakers.
