Remember Me
Don't want to enter your card number every time you sign in? Check the Remember Me box. Your card number will then automatically show up every time you sign in. This is because when you select the Remember Me option, we leave a cookie on your web browser to help us recognize you each time you sign in. For this feature to work, your browser must be set to accept cookies. If you switch to a new browser or computer, you'll need to enter your card number or Username and check the Remember Me box again.
IMPORTANT: Only use this feature on computers you know are safe. Don't check this box on any computer that's shared or used by people you don't trust.

Create a Username
You can choose to create a Username that's easier to remember than your card number. Once you create a Username, you'll need to use it instead of your card number every time you sign in. The Sign In page won't accept your card number anymore.
To create a Username:

  • Sign in to Online Banking.
  • Select Accounts Summary under My Accounts.
  • On the Account Summary page, look for the My Services box and select Profile and Preferences.

(You can also find your Profile and Preferences page by selecting your name at the top of the screen.)

  • On the Profile and Preferences page, select the Username link.
  • On your Change My Username and Password page, follow the steps for creating or changing your Username.

Having Trouble Signing In?
Our first priority is to keep your account information secure. So if your entry doesn't match our records, you won't be able to sign in. Here are a few things you can do to get back on track.
Check Your Client Card or Username
Make sure you've entered all the digits of your Card number or all the characters of your Username correctly. And check to make sure your keyboard Caps Lock isn't on: that's easy to miss.

IMPORTANT: If you've created a Username, remember you have to use it to sign in, not your card number.

Recover Your Username
If you forgot your Username, we can remind you with an email. We'll just need the email address you used to enrol in RBC Online Banking and the number from one of these two cards:

  • your RBC Client Card
  • your RBC credit card associated with Online Banking

Follow the link Recover Your Username. We'll take you through the steps from there.

NOTE: If you don't have a Client Card or credit card, just visit a branch or give us a call at 1- 800-769-2555 and we'll be happy to help you out.

Reset Your Password
Try entering your password a second time in case it was entered incorrectly. However, if your entry doesn't match after three attempts, we'll temporarily disable access to online banking as a security precaution.
Not to worry, you can use our online password recovery to continue. You'll need to provide some information so that we know it's really you:

  • your client card (we'll need three items from here, so have the actual card in hand);
  • the number of a credit card, chequing or savings account you've linked to your client card.

Follow the link Reset Your Password. We'll take you through the steps from there.

NOTE: If you don't have a Client Card or credit card, just visit a branch or give us a call at 1- 800-769-2555 and we'll be happy to help reset your password.
