Have you heard about the ShareTheGoals College Scholarship? Winners are chosen MONTHLY!
I was recently interviewed by TUN – The University Network and asked to share how I helped my son win so many scholarships.

The fine people at TUN told me about their own scholarship opportunity, the ShareTheGoals College Scholarship and I am happy to pass along the details to my blog readers.

- Open to current college students or high school seniors,attending school in the United States, or an educator at any level teaching in the United States.
- Children or grandchildren of employees, officers, or owners of TUN, Inc. are NOT eligible
- Applicants pick one of 17 sustainable goals listed in the scholarship guidelines and choose ONE of the following methods of sharing:
- Create a videoexplaining why the Global Goals are importantand post it.
- Create an infographic illustrating the importance of the Global Goalsand post it.
- Write an Essay of 500 words or less explainingthe importance of the Global Goalsand post it.
- (10)$500 winners and one $5000 winner will be chosen
- Deadline: Winners are selected monthly from October to July
Videos should be posted to Youtube or Facebook.
Infographics should be posted to Pinterest, Facebook, or Twitter.
Essays should be posted to Linkedin or Facebook.
WINNING TIPS: There are several choices when it comes to the content students can focus on and how they are going to share it.
Each of the 17 sustainable goals listed in the ShareTheGoals college scholarship guidelines should be carefully considered before making a final choice.
Students need to pick the goal that they have personal feelings about, have done something about, and/or plan on focusing on in college. Pay careful attention to the reasons listed for this scholarship opportunity:
InSeptember of 2015, the member states of the United Nations agreed upon a 15 year blueprint to tackle the world’s most troubling problemsin an effort toend poverty, fight inequality, and reverse climate change.
The University Network believes that all students and educators should be aware of these goals and thus have created this scholarship to help get the word out. Today’s students are the first generation that may be able to end extreme poverty and the last generation that may be able to to reverse climate change.

Not following instructions results in immediate disqualification. In the beginning, we used to notify applicants if submissions were incomplete, but that became impossible with the amount of submissions we began to receive around December.
It’s an unfortunate reality that students spend all their time writing a wonderful essay or creating an awesome graphic/video only to be disqualified. 🙁
So, there you have it. Following directions to a “T” as I describe in detail here is so very important when it comes to submitting and winning college scholarships!
