The quote by SEAL Team Six, "The harder the conflict, the greater the triumph," encapsulates the mindset and unwavering determination of these elite warriors. In their line of work, they face some of the most challenging and high-stakes conflicts imaginable.

DEVGRU is not “better” than the other teams - it's just different. It's different because it's entire mission set is to be the JSOC arm of the Navy. Our missions were pretty much exclusively counterterrorism. As such, we made sure it was staffed with already EXPERIENCED guys.

SEAL Team Six was disbanded in 1987, and its role, minus non-counter-terrorism ship-boarding, which was given to the newly formed SEAL Team 8, given to the newly formed DEVGRU. Is Delta Force harder than SEALs? ›

Delta is a tier 1 unit. The Seals aren't. Delta recruits from elite infantry units like the 75th Rangers and the SF groups, whereas the Seals recruit from regular Navy fleet personnel. So BUD/Seal training will be harder for these troops than Delta will be for a ranger.
