Did Scott Caan really hurt his arm in real life? ›

Scott Caan had to have multiple injuries written into his part on Hawaii Five-0. The actor had a knee injury and an arm injury at separate times throughout filming, and both made their way into the script. Caan had to use a cane and wear an arm brace.

As relayed by Closer Weekly, TV writer Rob Owen did some digging and was eventually informed by a CBS publicist that Caan had "hurt his arm in real life while not working on the series so the injury was written into the show." Apparently, Caan and Danno just have the same incredible knack for getting beaten up.
