In 2021, over one quarter of the Russian population had an average monthly money income between 27 thousand and 45 thousand Russian rubles, or between 395 and 658 U.S. dollars (as of January 2023). Russians with a monthly income below seven thousand Russian rubles, or approximately 102 U.S. dollars, comprised less than three percent of residents, a share that decreased from the previous year. The portion of those earning over 100 thousand Russian rubles, or around 1.5 thousand U.S. dollars, per month reached around six percent in 2021.
