The Grand January 2015 TCS Fundraiser!

Happy New Year everyone!

Let's start 2015 by adding quality reviews to the site. Not only will you be helping cat owners down the road make better choices, but this January, you'll also be helping cats!

How to participate?

Reviewing is very easy! Need help? Here's an illustrated guide for you.

Go ahead and add a review. If you want to suggest a cat shelter, return to this thread, link to your review and make your suggestion. You don't have to suggest a shelter though - your review gets counted towards the donation whether you suggest a shelter or not. You don't have to do anything else except adding reviews.

If you do wish to suggest a shelter, please make sure -

1. It's an official non-profit 501(c)3 organization (or the equivalent in other countries). Their official non-profit status must be displayed on their website.

2. It's a shelter or rescue organization that helps domestic cats.

3. They can accept donations via Paypal.

At the end of the fundraiser, the site team will review the suggestions and run a draw between the ones that meet the three criteria.

Review Guidelines:

1. Only review products you have actually tried.
2. Create a well-worded title that reflects your overall experience.
3. Write adetailed and specific review. Use the Pros and Cons fields to give a condensed version of your review.
4. Be specific and share not only whether or not you liked the product, butwhy. No rules about length, but we do reserve the right to disqualify reviews if we feel a user is flooding the system with low-quality reviews.
5. Give your honest opinion on the product -positive or negative, either is welcome.

If you don't see your favorite (or not so favorite) product listed, please contact me (Anne) with a request to add that product. You can either send me a PM or simplypost your request in this thread.

There is no limit on the number of reviews you can submit during the fundraiser. As long as the review meets the above guidelines, we'll add it as your donation to the fundraiser. Yes, I am not capping this fundraiser and I'm willing to risk having to make a hefty donation come February.

Tell your friends about the fundraiser. New members can review products too, so they're welcome to join in and help!

Great, thank you Anne. I've got a lot of work hours over the weekend but will still try to get some reviews done.

I'm not very clued up on the rescue organisations around here but am looking forward to seeing a few more suggestions in the thread for ones people know and maybe help with or have adopted from.

ooOoOoOOOOOooohhhHhHhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an amazing Idea I love this!

I would like to nominate the Mid Hudson Animal Aid, http://www.midhudsonanimalaid.org/ They are a no kill shelter, and probably one of the better shelters ive visited. They let the cats roam free, and take excellent care of them, they are very clean, super friendly and knowledgeable staff, and all the donations go solely to the animals. They had a bad fire a while ago, that completely ruined the building and they had to rebuild it.

and we're only four days into the campaign! If you run out of products to review, why not tell your friends about this project, get them to join TCS and add more reviews this month!
