Good research is replicable, reproducible, and transparent. Replicability, reproducibility, and transparency are some of the most important characteristics of research. The replicability of a research study is important because this allows other researchers to test the study's findings.

A research question is a question that a study or research project aims to answer. This question often addresses an issue or a problem, which, through analysis and interpretation of data, is answered in the study's conclusion.

Good quality research provides evidence that is robust, ethical, stands up to scrutiny and can be used to inform policy making. It should adhere to principles of professionalism, transparency, accountability and auditability.

The Research question is the Primary organizing principle guiding you to analyze further. A study should have a minimum of 3 questions and a maximum of 6 queries. Once the research question is determined, the researcher should plan what the method suitable is.

You will know if the problem is manageable by reviewing the literature on this more specific problem and assessing whether prior research on the narrower topic is sufficient to move forward in your study [i.e., not too much, not too little].

For usability studies aim for around fifteen users to get enough data points (30 is ideal) – suggested by Rubin, Chisnell & Jared Spool. More participants often lead to better data. Including more people who are representative of your target users is always a good idea.
