Established in 1994, the Q Family Office is an organization that combines a 25-year history with a deep entrepreneurial spirit. The family office currently includes a manager of a $500 million hedge fund/private investment firm, a $2.75 billion bank, a $400 million real estate investment firm, and a $250 million charitable foundation.
The Q Family Office on behalf of both the hedge fund, Q Investments, and Texas Exchange Bank, are seeking a sharp, detail-oriented individual with at least 5 years of experience to handle CLO analysis and trading functions related to its $1 billion+ CLO portfolio. 90% of the portfolio is AA or AAA rated and that is the mandate for the majority of the time. The work environment is open, team-based, and fast-paced. Q Investments executes trades in almost every area of the US securities markets including high yield and investment grade debt, leveraged loans, equities, options, derivatives, CLOs, and treasury securities. The CLO Analyst and Trader will handle trading desk functions and product analytics such as maintaining trading systems, bond sourcing, Intex analytics, tracking and analysis of trading and securities lending/financing opportunities, data entry, assisting in developing and maintaining sales / trading relationships with all the major broker dealers, and executing public market trades across multiple asset classes. In addition, the individual will be an integral part of all other generalist trading activity and analytics in various other assets and derivatives traded by the Q Family Office.
Strong Excel skills and applicable work experience is required.
The ideal candidate will have:
Exemplary analytical skills including CLO bond analytics
At least 2 years CLO market experience across the CLO capital structure
Proficiency with Excel, Intex, and Bloomberg
3.5+ GPA
Undergraduate degree in finance, statistics, management information systems, or a related discipline
A track record of achievement through internships, academic accolades, etc.
Exceptional communication skills and ability to be a team player
Ability to commit to at least 2 years in the role
