718
GT4 RS
The signs show a storm is brewing. An emotional storm.
The aerodynamic concept of the 718
GT4 RS has been further refined compared to the 718
GT4 and the overall concept adapted to its enormous achievements: performance, aerodynamics, chassis and, of course, design. This is particularly evident on the fixed rear wing with swan-neck connection and on the rear diffuser. And not only provides downforce and high traction – but also a razor-sharp track tool look.
Vehicle shown with Weissach package and other optional equipment.
Front diffuser for optimized aerodynamic balance.
The highly adjustable front diffuser improves the vehicle's aerodynamic balance and is designed for minimum air resistance to achieve maximum speed. In non-road-approved performance setting for race track use, the 718
GT4 RS achieves considerably more downforce compared to the 718
GT4, optimizing the vehicle's stability, especially in fast corners. In short: the 'form follows function' principle at its very best.
Front hood with NACA ducts.
Persistently defying headwinds: the front hood made of extremely light carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). The NACA ducts improve brake cooling – and make it clear to everyone that this is a sports car in its purest form.
Fenders made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP).
The upper openings in the carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) fenders, the so-called louvers, optimize the wheel arch ventilation, as does the redesigned front spoiler lip with side blades that allow the flow of air from all sides. The result: a reduction in excess pressure in the wheel arch and thus more downforce.
Air intakes instead of rear side windows.
In the place of rear side windows, air intakes made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) painted in black are used. They increase the dynamic pressure of the airstream and also supply the engine with air. With the Weissach Package, they are made in a carbon fiber-weave finish and fitted with additional blades for a more targeted airflow.
Large rear wing with swan-neck connection.
Extremely eye-catching: the fixed rear wing made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). Thanks to the swan-neck connection from above, air flows over the entire surface of the underside of the wing, without any interference. It can also be set manually for race track use. The result: reduced loss of downforce and improved traction.
Large spoiler.
The characteristic, further enlarged rear spoiler of the 718
GT4 RS produces maximum downforce. At its center: a third integrated brake light.
Tested on the rig and the track: the Weissach Package.
Consistent use of carbon fiber-weave finish and geometric optimization of the upper side air intakes for an even better supply of air. Inside: Extensive Race-Tex including top of dashboard. Emotional signature: the embroidered Weissach Package logo on the headrests and the badge on the dashboard trim.
Wheels and tires.
20-inch forged aluminum wheels.
These lightweight, forged aluminum wheels have a unique design that emphasizes the vehicle's sporty character. Paint finishes in other colors are optionally available.
20-inch forged magnesium wheels.
Four lightweight wheels: these optional 20-inch forged magnesium wheels are offered in conjunction with the Weissach Package. They are available in various paint finishes and offer a total weight saving of almost 22 lbs.

GT4 RS
Its heart beats at its center. As you can feel – and hear.
Flacht. Birthplace and home of
race cars, located at the southern end of the
Development Center in Weissach. Here, we continuously develop, test and improve our vehicles – for the one tenth of a second that can make all the difference on the race track. The engine of the 718
GT4 RS also originates from here. The low center of gravity of the mid-mounted engine that is characteristic of the 718 models guarantees dynamic cornering and outstanding performance.
Vehicle shown with Weissach package and other optional equipment.
4.0-liter six-cylinder horizontally opposed naturally aspirated engine.
An engine with a high-speed concept, directly derived from the 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR: with a maximum output of 493 hp at 8,400rpm and a maximum torque of 331 lb-ft at 6,250rpm, the centrally positioned 4.0-liter six-cylinder naturally aspirated engine is by far the most powerful in the 718 model range.
Tested on the race track.
Six individual throttle valves optimally supply each of the six cylinders with air, producing an extremely direct response and providing the engine with optimum ventilation. Thanks to the central oil feed, forged pistons and lightweight titanium piston rods, it is not only efficient, but also extremely robust.
Suitable for motorsport.
The development of the engine is inspired by the race track. The rigid valve train and dry-sump lubrication with separate oil tank have already proven their worth in the 911 GT3. The dual-mass flywheel comes from the 718
Interior airbox with new, improved air filter.
Technical highlight, visual treat and acoustic delight: the black plastic airbox with a silver 'GT4 RS' logo and newly developed air filter, which has been moved to the interior. It not only makes sure that the engine is optimally supplied with fresh air – it also provides a thoroughbred sound. With the Weissach Package, the airbox is finished in visible carbon fiber-weave finish.
Clubsport Package shown not available in the US.
Purist sound meets sporty look.
The large volume of the lightweight, stainless steel sport exhaust system with rear muffler and two clearly separated stainless steel tailpipes reduces the exhaust back pressure. A stereo lambda control circuit regulates the exhaust gas composition and monitors pollutant conversion in the catalytic converters. In conjunction with the Weissach Package, the tailpipe is made of titanium as standard. Its appearance is derived from the limited 935 motorsport small series production run of 2018, a tribute to the legendary Le Mans race car, the 935/78.
From irrational to perfect in hundredths of a second.
Outstanding agility, short shift throws, sporty gears with shorter ratios – the 7-speed
Doppelkupplung (PDK). Even seventh gear is sporty and succinct. The design of the PDK gear selector is based on a manual gear lever and also allows manual gear changes. For even more succinct gear changes, simply use the gearshift paddles directly on the steering wheel. The mechanically locking rear differential ensures optimum transfer of power to the road.
Lightweight construction.
To ensure even greater performance, anything that was unnecessary has been removed. Or replaced by lighter materials: the hood, front fenders, side air intakes, rear fenders, decorative trims and full bucket seats are made from lightweight, durable carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). While the rear windshield is made of lightweight glass and also saves weight.
100% performance at 3,227 lb.
Lighter. Even lighter. Closer to perfection. This was the principal that our engineers adopted when designing the 718
GT4 RS. The result: pure performance with a curb weight of just 3,227 lb.
GT technology for the chassis.
A unique, race track-optimized combination of motorsport-tested chassis components. The lightweight spring-strut axles follow the design principle of the 911 GT3 RS (991 II). Rigid springs in combination with motorsport-typical helper springs and specific wheel mounts helps to ensure excellent traction and stability. Ball joints enable extremely precise wheel control. The height, camber, toe angle and anti-roll bars can be adjusted individually for the race track.
Chassis and control systems.
Chassis.
Spring rates and damping system calibration follow the principles of the 911 GT3 RS (991 II). New shock-absorber technology and more rigid springs in conjunction with typical motorsport helper springs are used at both the front and rear. The result: a race track chassis delivering excellent cornering dynamics, spontaneous steering and thus higher cornering speeds.
Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM, –30mm).
The electronic adjustment of the shock absorber system actively and continuously adjusts the damping force on each wheel, based on current road conditions and driving style. PASM has two settings: sporty/comfortable and sporty/firm.
Porsche Stability Management (PSM).
PSM is an automatic control system for maintaining stability at the limits of dynamic driving performance. The systems can be completely switched off in two stages. For intentionally sporty handling on the race track.
Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV).
In short: PTV improves the driving dynamics. In detail: the integrated mechanical rear differential lock enables higher traction and lateral dynamics as well as significantly improved vehicle stability during load changes in corners and when changing lanes.
Front-axle lift system.
1.1 in may not sound like a lot, but makes all the difference at speeds of up to around 37 mph, thanks to increased ground clearance. The 718
Brakes.
The six-piston aluminum monobloc fixed brake calipers at the front, four-piston aluminum monobloc fixed brake calipers at the rear, all finished in red, and cast-iron and aluminum composite brake discs with an extremely large diameter of 408mm at the front and 380mm at the rear helps to ensure rapid braking – even under high loads, thanks to newly developed brake cooling.
Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB).

Indispensable, especially in tight corners: simplicity.
The co*ckpit stands for total driver orientation, accessibility, directly readable information, excellent functionality, optimal ergonomics and a focus on what really matters. Materials and details in the interior of the 718
GT4 RS, such as non-slip Race-Tex, interior trim in matte carbon fiber and door opening loops, are derived directly from motorsport. The airbox has been moved to the interior, ensuring visual and acoustic proximity to the engine.
Vehicle shown with Weissach package and other optional equipment.
PDK gear selector and shift paddles.
Succinct gear changes for improved performance: the PDK gear selector in a GT-specific design, which looks like a manual gear lever, and the black gearshift paddles with yellow markings.
Motorsport materials on the road.
Steering wheel rim, the top of the PDK gear selector (including gaiter) and door grab handles of the 718
GT4 RS are covered with Race-Tex. The interior trim on the dashboard and center console are made of matte carbon fiber, highlighting its race track character.
Typical motorsport: door opening loops instead of conventional handles.
No embellishments, no frills. Instead: door opening loops like in motorsport. And simple storage nets in the doors. However, we allowed ourselves one adornment: contrasting colors, Arctic Grey – or, depending on the specification, – Deep Sea Blue – for the door opening loops and deviated stitching.
Engine noise meets palpitations.
Thanks to reduced insulation and the airbox having been relocated to the interior, you can directly experience the engine noise of your
718
GT4 RS in its purest form.

Seats.
Full bucket seats.
Adaptive Sport Seats Plus.
The full bucket seats made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) with carbon fiber-weave finish provide especially good lateral support at minimal weight. The seat centers are made of black, perforated Race-Tex in Arctic Grey or Deep Sea Blue. The 'GT4 RS' logo is embroidered on the headrests as standard; in conjunction with the Weissach Package, the corresponding logo featuring a stylized Weissach track outline.
Optionally available: Adaptive Sport Seats Plus with electric 18-way adjustment. The side bolsters are covered with leather, the seat centers are made of black Race-Tex and the 'GT4 RS' logo is embroidered on the headrests to match the respective contrasting color, namely Arctic Grey or Deep Sea Blue.
Optional Chrono Package.
Communication Management (PCM) is upgraded to include the Chrono Package and performance display, enabling you to view, store and evaluate recorded lap times. In this way, you can display the current lap time and distance, as well as the number of laps completed. Another eye-catching feature: the analog chrono watch on the dashboard upper section.
