Higher returns is just one of the features of a mutual fund that investors see.It is true that post tax returns on mutual funds can be better than more traditional options, but there is much more to investing than just returns. 1. Having money when you need it:Mutual funds offer liquidity between 1 to 4 working days. You need not to sell your entire holding and can target some units of your own. Hence mutual fund offers both liquidity and flexibility.2. Automatic diversification:Large-cap funds, for example, invest in a diversified portfolio of 50-70 stocks. This reduces the probability of individual stocks losing value, enhancing overall risk-return profile of your portfolio.3. Costs structure:Cost to enter, maintain, exit is crucial in a financial product specially if it is held for long period of time. Mutual funds have standardized cost structures, enabling you to evaluate the expenses.4. Ease of transaction:Mutual funds make it convenient for investors to buy, sell, or switch between funds. Once you have onboarded the platform through which you will transact, it costs very little time and money.5. Ease of comparison:Standardized product features and disclosures mandated by SEBI make it easier to compare funds against their competitors, benchmark, and evaluate performance, costs, and risks.Remember, successful investing involves considering these attributes holistically, aligning them with your financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment horizon to make informed decisions and achieve financial success.#wealthmanagement #financialplanning #investmentstrategy #mutualfunds #longterminvesting #portfoliodiversification #financialadvisor #greatlark #suchitarora
