Must be a menu I guess. No work would get done if you’re working on collecting data and processing 125 KPIs. You’d need KPI #126 to find out why the work isn’t getting done. However I say this tongue in cheek of course.

    The list looks great. But these are OKRs on a department level that barely answer question what is the desired behavior that leads that department to success? My approach would be decomposition this further using any of the available methods like fishbone and observation and design value-adding KPIs. Keep in mind that KPI is a statement that encourages employee to produce value-adding action. Based on KPI you can calculate the renumeration of an individual, and based on OKR you can provide a quarterly or a yearly bonus.

    Business acumen and Financial acumen are two sides of one coin.Financial analysis tools to understand business performance requires one key thing … understanding the business itself!Digesting the business model drives directly what tools you need to use to measure the business performance.I believe all the financial statements will fit to assess performance, the P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, breakeven analysis, financial ratios that illustrates the KPIs - all could be used, it all depends when, how frequent and the purpose of this tool.📈Break even analysis is definitely required at the beginnings of a business to assess when your project will break even and give you the required returns.📄Income statement will test the margins of your business (some measured on a direct margin levels while others go down to ebitda and ebit) this needs to be benchmarked on the industry norms to test how healthy your margins are.💵Cash flow and balance sheet is essential to assess how and when your margins are translated to free cash flow; hence the shareholders returns and dividends.🟰Financial ratios and business KPIs are another mandatory tool to understand how your business is performing at the performance drivers (financial and non-financial drivers).Finally, it’s all about the what and when .. to understand the how 💡#businessacumen #financialacumen #UnstoppableKnowledge #NeverDoneLearning #AHthoughts
