In this role you will be responsible for leading the Hub Credit Center of Excellence (COE). As the O2C Credit Center of Excellence Manager you will lead a team of highly qualified experts responsible for providing global end-to-end process support and system expertise. The role will include regular interaction with Global Credit Risk Management, Business stakeholders, other Centers of Excellence and Delivery hub leaders to ensure the CoE is globally operating towards agreed objectives, and that defined service level agreements are successfully met.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead the Hub Credit Center of Excellence (COE) with direct responsibility of countries solely managed from Hub and also assuming overall responsibility of credit professionals supporting regional cluster/countries
  • Responsible for effective implementation of global credit risk policy, procedures, processes and to promote best practices including training and competency development requirements for credit professionals at COE
  • A key participant in ABB global credit risk management network supporting Head Global Credit Risk Management in promoting pro-active management of credit risks in close collaboration with COEs in Bangalore and SLP, Cluster countries in Europe and also other O2C processes
  • Responsible to ensure compliance, measure and reporting of key credit metrics to Head Global Credit Risk management and O2C Global Process Owner
  • Primary speaking partner for Local Business Areas/Divisions for customer credit risk matters in relation to countries directly managed from the Hub. Facilitates effective business decisions by identifying and communicating credit risks and opportunities of business proposals, to avoid revenue loss and contribute to a low cash conversion cycle
  • Leads Internal Control over Financial Reporting compliance for credit risk management to ensure that processes and controls are designed effectively and address financial reporting
  • Support Head Global Credit Risk Management while working together with other O2C teams, on solutions to optimize the preparation of key performance indicators and relevant data to achieve and measure optimal macro management of credit risks
  • Supports implementation of best practices and continuous optimization of relevant processes to gain efficiencies and drive productivity gains. Also, validates and improves reliability and effectiveness of credit assessments and decisions

Your background

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance or similar
  • 10 years of work experience in Credit Management area, including at least 7 years managing the team
  • Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash end-to-end process, including the identification of the customer, credit risk evaluation, credit terms and conditions, customer billing, cash application, collections and dispute management
  • Interdisciplinary and networked thinking, strong interest in understanding the inherent complexity and dynamics of countries and industries (including changes in regulatory frameworks) and relevant impact on corporate credit risk profiles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work towards tight deadlines, demonstrating high degree of expertise and commitment
  • Experience in implementing, managing, monitoring and reporting for large processes and projects
  • Fluency in English verbal and written.
  • Ability to adapt to flexible timings (if required) and ability to work with team members and supervisors across geographies and with other cultures
