Sometimes explaining things as it was to kids can be helpful. However, I wouldn’t recommend it as a general form of communication to adults. We should be able to simplify our communication or use more appropriate analogies.

One confusion is with me ..How a company can be judge on basis of EBITDA if the expenses are not deducted?I mean if all the expenses are deducted then only we can have a good idea about the actual money making by the company?Plz explain...

Good explanation. However, much consideration should be given to how misleading EBITA can be when evaluating a company. Issue of changing working capital aside, CAPEX and non-reoccurring items that tend to become reoccurring? I often wonder why the metric is so often relied upon when it's not a true representation of a company's performance?

This year, I learned about EBIT, but I'm yet to explore EBITDA. I find the subject fascinating! Thanks for sharing your insights!

In a poll I did last week, 95% of you said you KNOW what "know your numbers" means when I use that terminology. For those that don't, a starting point...Start by running a Profit & Loss statement and a Balance Sheet and get familiar with what's on there. Now, if you do not have the ability to get those documents (or you do and they are sorely out of date), then start by getting access to your books AND GET THEM CAUGHT UP!Need support? Hit the DM and let me know!#knowyournumbers #greenindustryleader #quickbooksproadvisor

It is SHOCKING when I notice how many people do not have a finacial education. 🎓Meaning, the only security they have is their savings amount in the bank which is depreciating and a monthly paycheck. 💲A few years ago I created a brief 1 hour training that I am sharing here for FREE to empower you to take charge of your financial future.Don't forget to download the PDF worksheet.👇Access it here - https://lnkd.in/ek8YmTxQ
