Some of the discounts change from year to year, but they are always quite generous.

Is there a military discount for park tickets?
Yes, there is a military discount at Disney World for theme park tickets, however it’s not always the same year-to-year.
Here’s the lowdown on discounted tickets for military personnel and their family at Walt Disney World theme parks this year.
NOTE: Disney is utilizing flex pricing where tickets cost more on select dates. I chose the same week in late June 2024 to do this price comparison. Actual pricing for the dates you choose may differ. Price estimates below are rounded and do not include tax.
Disney Military Salute Ticket
This year, Walt Disney World offers a discount on 4, 5, or 6-day ticket Park Hopper packages.
Military discounts are not available for ticket packages without a Park Hopper, nor for special events, such as Mickey’s Halloween Party or Mickey’s Christmas Party.
But that’s not necessarily a bad thing because the Park Hopper ticket option allows you to visit more than 1 park per day.
In addition, the Park Hopper Plus option allows you to also visit Disney’s water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, among other extras.
This discount used to be called the Disney Military Promotional Ticket, but in recent years, its name changed to the Disney Military Salute Ticket.
The 4-day military discount ticket options include:
- 4-Day Park Hopper: $369
- 4-Day Park Hopper Plus: $399
A non-discounted 4-day ticket with Park Hopper for ages 10+ costs about $659, and for ages 3-9, it costs approximately $642.
For the Park Hopper Plus, a non-discounted 4-day ticket for ages 10+ is around $679 and for ages 3-9, it’s about $662.
The 5-day military discount ticket options include:
- 5-Day Park Hopper: $389
- 5-Day Park Hopper Plus: $419
A non-discounted 5-day ticket with Park Hopper for ages 10+ costs about $723, and for ages 3-9, it costs approximately $704.
For the Park Hopper Plus, a non-discounted 5-day ticket for ages 10+ is around $743, and for ages 3-9, it’s about $724.
The 6-day military discount ticket options include:
- 6-Day Park Hopper: $409
- 6-Day Park Hopper Plus: $439
A non-discounted 6-day ticket with Park Hopper for ages 10+ costs about $749, and for ages 3-9, it costs approximately $728.
For the Park Hopper Plus, a non-discounted 6-day ticket for ages 10+ is around $769, and for ages 3-9, it’s about $748.
It’s clear – compared to a non-discounted ticket, the Disney World military discount for park tickets is a steal! It’s nearly half off!!
Are there any restrictions?
Yes, there are a few restrictions to keep in mind.
Only 6 tickets can be purchased and one of those tickets must be for the military member or their spouse.
Next, regardless of the ticket package, you must use your ticket by December 20, 2024.
Therefore, sales for each ticket ends by the following dates:
- 4-day options: December 17, 2024
- 5-day options: December 16, 2024
- 6-day options: December 15, 2024
In addition to capping use past December 20, there are also several weeks in which this ticket type cannot be used:
- March 24 – April 6, 2024
- November 24-30, 2024
Lastly, a theme park reservation is still required with the Disney Military Salute tickets, unlike regular, non-discounted, date-based tickets.
Park hopping can occur at any time, but all people in your group must visit the reserved park first – or you can change your reservation to the preferred park, if a reservation is available.
Can you get a military discount on the Memory Maker photo pass?
Yes, there is a military discount for the Memory Maker photo pass, as well.
In 2024, the military discount for Memory Maker is $98, compared to $185 for advanced purchase up to 3 days before you want to use or $210 during or post-vacation.
That’s 49-58% off the usual price to capture the best of your vacation memories!
Memory Maker gives you access to your photos from rides, character meet and greets, and photo locations around the parks.
You’ll be able to get access to all of your photos, make edits and download for free. Prints and other physical products cost extra.
The 2024 Memory Maker military discount is available through December 20, 2024.
Is there a military discount at Disney World hotels?
The military discount at Disney World hotels differ depending on the hotel category (value, moderate or deluxe) and time of year.
In 2024, the discounts are available from January 1 through December 20.
The following resorts are NOT eligible for a special discount:
- Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
It is also not eligible for the following room types at select resorts:
- 3-bedroom villas at all deluxe and moderate resorts
- All suites in moderate and deluxe resorts
- Art of Animation Little Mermaid rooms
- Copper Creek cabins
- Polynesian Village Bungalows
- Wilderness Lodge cabins
To book a military discount on your hotel, you must call 407-939-7830 for exact dates and discounts as the rates are not publicly available.
Does Disney World have a resort for military personnel and veterans?
Yes, there is a resort for military members and veterans at Disney World called Shades of Green.
The Shades of Green resort is owned by the Department of Defense and is for use solely by military members and veterans.
Although it is not owned by Disney, it is located on Disney property, not far from the Polynesian Village Resort.
The base rate ranges anywhere from $164 to $674 per night, depending on the type of room or suite chosen. Discounts are often available.
Do any of the stores or restaurants in Disney Springs offer a military discount?
Yes, some of the stores and restaurants at Disney Springs offer a military discount.
The discount varies between each store and restaurant, so you’ll need to ask around while shopping (or call the stores ahead).
The typical discount offered is 10-30%, so it’s worth it to ask!

What else do I need to know?
Most of the military discounts at Disney World are available to spouses and children if the military member is not present.
However, a valid Department of Defense issued ID is necessary to claim the discount. So don’t forget to bring your valid military ID for spouses and children over the age of 10 when you check-in or redeem the park tickets.
The military discounts are available for current and veteran military personnel from all branches (US Air Force, US Army, US Navy, US Marine Corps, US Space Force, US Coast Guard, and US National Guard).
In addition, the discount is available for active and retired members of the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS) and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
