March Income Report: $5,896 PASSIVE Income - The Realistic Mama (2024)

While this isn’t something I usually talk about, I want to share it because I know how much blogging has changed my life and I want it to change your life too.

You are an outstanding mom with incredibletalents and I also know that you have a dream, a dream deep down within your soul. It’s too big, it scares you because you don’t know if you’ll ever achieve it. You barely, if ever, talk about it because it’s not realistic. But what if I told you it is.

Today,I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and I’m sharing last month’s income report because I want you to know you can do it too. A blog is the financial means to your dream.

Each month we keep track of how much we make and for the first time I’m sharing it with you because I want it to help you achieve your dream.

This month is actually one of our lowest months but it’s significant because I barely worked. I had a baby and I took maternity leave for 3 months and still made money. I took 3 months to cuddle, snuggle and stare into my babies eyes and all the while I still had money rolling in.

I want this for you too. There’s room in the blog world for you.You can be both a mom and a business owner. Working at home on the blog is literally the best of both worlds!

Financial Freedom

Money is a means to an opportunity.

Imagine, goingto the zoo with your family and making money while you’re there.

Or taking 3 weeks vacation, yes 3 weeks. PAID. Making enough money not only to pay for your vacation but also pay all your bills at home and more.

And imagine that moment you pay off your house. It doesn’t have to be 30 years away. Imagine yourself jumping up and down and celebrating! Then start saving for your kids’ college, investing, and more!

Ok. Ok. I know, the income report. I know you’re curious! So here we go:

Total March Income:$5,896

Remember this is almost all PASSIVE income!I was enjoying my newborn and toddler A LOT and working very minimally. Pretty cool, huh?

I want you to take advantage of it too, that’s why I’m sharing this. Do it. Make your dreams reality.

I’ve been reading a lot on limiting beliefs. Allowing how you were raised, your current situation and those around you to determine what the rest of your life will look like. Don’t limit yourself. I’ll be working on income reports every single month and giving you tips in each one.

Here’s the breakdown of this month’s blogincome, remember this month is going to look different than most months. This was passive income, my blog was making money without me working.

Breakdown:

• Display Ads:$3,577

• Sponsored Posts: $1645

This is when acompany hires me to write for them, so this portion is not passive. I usually make WAY more in this department but that would have required time away from my newborn. So this category is much smaller than usual. A great company to get sponsored post through when you’re first starting out is: IZEA. • Sharing Essential Oils: $235.47

What I love about Essential Oil income is that it’s both residual and passive. Put in some hard work to start and then reap the benefits from there on. I haven’t done a whole lot in this department, yet, but these coming up months I expect this number to double, triple and then explode. Onereason it’s so successful is it’s a product I would buy even if I wasn’t making money with it. I order about $100 in oils each month but it’s money I was spending before on other things. Now we have less chemicals and have simplified our whole bathroom cabinet. Anotherreason the business is successful is that you’re not just selling someone on a product you are coming along side them and educating them how to use their oils. You’ll even turn skeptics into believers once they try it. I know, cause my husband was a total skeptic at first.

You can earn affiliate credit with or without a blog (a blog just helps you to reach even more people). Blogging has officially become my full time job and I love it. Most months and especially when I first started I put a lot of time into the blog, it’s amazing that I was able to take off such a substantial amount of time and still make great income.

I also work with a few select companies in exchange for credit instead of cash.I only do this IF it’s something I am going to spend my money on anyway, otherwise it’s just clutter and not payment. A few examples:
