Welcome to Lesson 4.

Love it or hate it, the popular platform 'Fiverr' is a attractive opinion for daring freelancers who are interested in scoring an honest buck.

What's more, a freelancer can offer his or her services (or gigs) for as low as $5 per job.

Although $5 per job isn’t a fortune, if the gig worker can complete a number of tasks in a short period of time, $5 can add up over time.

Also, listing services at such a low price is a great way to attract new customers. In addition, Fiverr sellers have the option of listing their gig at a much higher rate, or increasing their prices as they gain more customers.

It’s also worth mentioning that Fiverr sellers can create up to 7 gigs. In other words, freelancers can sell up to 7 different services on the platform.

In essence, a seller could earn a full-time living by providing multiple services on the site if they put in the effort.

My Current Fiverr Gig

Interestingly enough, a few weeks prior to completing this guide, I earned $340.40 on Fiverr by simply converting several blog posts into videos. I initially charged $25 but increased my price as the customer requested more videos (see screenshots below).

What’s even more interesting is that I didn’t have any video editing skills when I completed this particular job.

Based on my personal experience, I plan to list additional services on Fiverr in the near future. Remember, freelancers can list up to 7 gigs. The goal would be to provide services that are easy to fulfill.

The implication here is that you don’t need a great deal of skill to start offering services, or gigs on Fiverr.

There are a number of AI (Artificial Intelligence) based tools and applications that can automate your tasks - depending on what services you offer. In such a case, the idea is to become skilled in using the tools or apps of your choice (see videos below).

In many cases, they’re only interested in gaining more subscribers, or selling an often overpriced training program. Remember to be diligent in doing your research.

The Biggest Challenge That You’ll Face on Fiverr is Getting Noticed, So Think Outside The Box!

There are hundreds of easy-to-perform services that you can offer on Fiverr; the problem is, there are plenty of other people offering those same services - sometimes thousands of people.

A possible solution to this problem is to offer an unusual, surprising, or downright wacky service on the platform. Keep in mind however, there needs to be a market for what you’re offering.

With that sentiment in mind, listed below are a few examples of people who offer out-of-the-ordinary or unexpected gigs on Fiverr.

So Why is This Information Important?

The fact is that a surprising number of freelancers on Fiverr offer services that can be categorized as uncommon, to say the least. And as I mentioned earlier, some of those services are relatively in demand.

What's more, many of these gigs have a small amount of competition - although this could change relatively quickly (for the purpose of this training, low-competition gigs are gigs that only have a few hundred providers, or less).

The idea was to show you a few examples as a means of motivation. If you have an uncommon skill or service to offer, I wholeheartedly encourage you to promote it on Fiverr. Remember, you can list up to 7 gigs and it won’t cost you a dime. If the services that you provide are similar, you could even start a Fiverr business.

Here’s a few pointers to help you get started:

Search for YouTube videos on how to find low-competition gigs that have a fair amount of demand - keep in mind, the goal is to offer an unusual or unique service. This will increase your chances of making a sale sooner.
When you’re creating your Fiverr profile, don’t rush through the process (do a thorough job).
To attract more customers, list your gig for $5 (you can increase your price as you gain more customers).
Increase your chances of making sales by listing 7 gigs.

More Examples of Low Competition Gigs on Fiverr

In the previous section, we focused on providing services that can be categorized as unusual, surprising, or downright wacky.

In this section, we’ll focus on offering gigs that are more traditional in nature, or services that are relatively popular on Fiverr.

Also, if the following gigs are beyond your current skill set, it’s relatively easy to develop the necessary skills if you’re willing to do a little studying. You can also utilize the power of ChatGPT (AI tool) in offering the following services.

And finally, keep in mind that things change rather quickly online. So while the following gigs may not have a great deal of competition currently (or at the time of this writing) this may not be the case in the near future.

As in the previous section, the idea is to simply provide you with gig ideas.

(However, unlike the previous examples, you won’t be reviewing a specific gig, but rather viewing the search results of a particular type of gig. Remember, the following services are low-competition. In this case, low-competition gigs are services that have a few hundred providers, or less than 1000 providers. It’s also worth mentioning that the following gigs will have varying levels of demand)

Based on my experience, offering gigs that can be performed in a short period of time is potentially a great way to make extra cash; or even a full-time income.

This is especially the case if you learn how to use the power of AI tools like ChatGpt, Lumen5, Midjourney, etc.
