Documents you need to prepare before submission: BASICDOCUMENTS (FOR ALL TYPES OF VISAS)

(1)Passport

Originalpassport with at least six months of remaining validity and with blank visapages, a photocopy of the passport's data page and the photo page if it isseparate.

(2) Visa Application Form andPhoto

Onecompleted Visa Application Form with a recently-taken colour passport photo(bare-head, full face) against a light background (size: 48mm x 33mm) attached.

prepare your application form:Youmay complete an Online Application Form (where a Visa Centre provides suchservice), print it out and sign it; or, you can download the application formfrom our website and fill it on computer, print it and sign it. When you sign,please sign your full name.

Please remember to bring the completed formto the Visa Centre to submit your application.

(3) Proof of legal status (applicable for thosenot applying for the visa in their country of citizenship)

If youare not applying for a visa in the country of your citizenship, you mustprovide the original and photocopy of your valid certificates of residence,employment or student status, or other valid certificates of legal stay providedby the relevant authorities of the country where the Visa Centre is located.

(4) Photocopy of previous Chinesepassports or previous Chinese visas (applicable for those who were Chinesecitizens and have obtained foreign citizenship).

If youare applying for a Chinese visa for the first time, you should provide the lastChinese passport held and a photocopy of its data page. If you have obtainedChinese visas before and apply for a Chinese visa with a renewed foreignpassport that does not contain any Chinese visa, you should present thephotocopy of the previous passport's data page and the photo page if it isseparate, as well as the previous Chinese visa page (If your name on thecurrent passport diers from that on the previous one, you must providean ocialdocument of name change).

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

C Visa

A letterof guarantee issued by a foreign transport company or an invitation letterissued by a relevant unit in China

D Visa

Theoriginal and photocopy of the Confirmation Form for Alien Permanent ResidenceStatus issued by the Ministry of Public Security of China.

F Visa

An ocialinvitation letter issued by a relevant unit or individual in China. Theinvitation letter should contain:

(2) Information regarding the planned visit (incl. purpose of visit,arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, relationship between theapplicant and the inviting party, and details of any financial support to beprovided during the stay in China);
(3) Information of the inviting party (incl.name, contact telephonenumber, address, stamp, signature of the legal representative or individual).
(4) if invited by individual, ID copy of the inviter is required.
(5)Round trip flight tickets and hotel reservation.

G Visa

An onwardair (train or ship) ticket with confirmeddate and seat to the destinationcountry or region.

J1 Visa

An officialletter issued by the media organizationfor which the journalistworks

Applicantsmust contact the press section of the Chinese Embassy/Consulate General or therelevant press authorities in China in advance and complete relevant approvalformalities.

L Visa

Documentsshowing the itinerary including air ticket booking record (round trip) andproof of a hotel reservation, etc. or an Invitation Letter for Tourist issuedby a relevant unit or individual in China. The invitation letter shouldcontain:

(1)Informationof the applicant (incl. full name, gender, date of birth, etc.);

(2)Detailsof the planned visit (incl. arrival and departure dates, place(s) to bevisited, accommodation arrangements, etc.);

(3)Informationof the inviting party(incl. name of organization or person concerned, contacttelephone number, address, official stamp of the organization, signature of thelegal representative or individual).

M Visa

(1)Documentsconcerning commercial activity issued by a trade partner in China, or tradefair invitation, etc. The invitation letter should contain:

a)Informationof the applicant (incl. full name, gender, date of birth, etc.);

b)Detailsof the planned visit (incl. purpose of visit, arrival and departure dates,place(s) to be visited, relationship between the applicant and the invitingparty, details of any financial support to be provided during the stay in China);

c)Information of the inviting party (incl.name, contact telephone number,address, ocialstamp, signature of the legal representative or individual).
(2) Copy of the business license of the inviting party.
(3) Round trip flight tickets and hotel reservation.

Q1 Visa

Forfamily reunion, the following documents are required:

(1) Aninvitation letter provided by a Chinese citizen or a foreign citizen with aChinese permanent residence permit to live in China. The invitation lettershould contain:

a)Informationof the applicant (incl. full name, gender, date of birth, etc.);

b)Informationregarding the visit (incl. purpose of visit, intended arrival date, intendedplace(s) to stay, intended duration of stay, relationship between the applicantand the inviting party, details of any financial support to be provided duringthe stay in China);

c)Informationof the inviting party (incl. name, contact telephone number, address, signatureof individual).
(2)Photocopy of Chinese IDs or foreign passports and permanent residencepermits provided by the inviting party.
(3)Original and photocopy of certification (marriage certificate, birthcertificate or notarized certification of kinship) showing the relationship offamily members between the applicants and inviting parties.

"Familymembers" refers to spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons ordaughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters andparents-in-law.

Q2 Visa

(3) Original and photocopy of certification (marriage certificate, birthcertificate or notarized certification of kinship) showing the relationship offamily members between the applicants and inviting parties.

(2)Originaland photocopy of notarized and authenticated certification (marriage certificate,birth certificate or notarized certification of kinship) showing the relationshipof family members between applicants and inviting parties.

"Relatives"refers to spouses, parents, sons or daughters under the age of 18, parents inlaw.

3. Special notes

(1) Thecentermay require the applicant to provide other proofdocuments.The invitation letter may be in the form of fax, photocopy orcomputer printout, but the consular officer may require the applicant to submitthe original of the invitation letter. An issuer of invitation letter who is anindividual in China should also provide a photocopy of his/her Chinese ID.

(2)Ifnecessary, the consular officer or the center may require the applicant toprovide other proof documents or supplementary materials, or require aninterview with the applicant.

(3)The consular officer will decide on whether or not to issue the visa and on itsvalidity, duration of stay and number of entries in light of specific conditionsof the applicant.
