Kendra Hill is a special superior court judge for the North Carolina Superior Courts. She was appointed to this position by Governor Bev Perdue on December 31, 2012.[1][2]
The North Carolina Superior Courts are split into five divisions and 48 districts. Superior court judges rotate among the districts within their division every six months.[3] However, superior court judges are elected by voters in their district and must reside in the district in which they are elected.[4]
Education
Hill received her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her J.D. from Harvard Law School.[1]
Career
Hill spent two years as the senior director of employee relations for the Wake County Public School System and then worked as the assistant legal counsel for the North Carolina School Boards Association for nine years. In 2009, she became the chief ethics officer and deputy general counsel for the Office of the Governor. She joined the superior court in 2013.[1]
