Is it easy to pass JYP audition? ›

A JYP audition will be just as hard to pass as any other audition. You need talents, passion, good visual, and a unique personality. It will be harder for foreigners to pass the audition, but you will have to expect that as you go on and become a trainee.

Only the accepted applicants will be notified within 3 weeks from assessment. We will contact you directly by the phone number written in the application. Overseas residents will be notified of acceptance via e-mail instead of phone calls.

Results will be notified within three weeks after the last day of the Seoul audition through JYP AUDITION official social media and website. Only those who pass will be notified.

We also know that it is exceptionally rare for large K-pop Entertainment Company such as JYP Entertainment to pick someone as trainee through online audition. Therefore from the 100 trainees, probably about 200000 applicants had applied for the physical audition.

JYP has about 50 - 100 Trainees currently. Only one in thousands get pass the auditions and actually become trainees. And then only about 10% of the trainees get to debut. So literally one in ten thousand of the people who audition get to debut.

May I apply as a foreigner? A. Yes, you may apply for the JYP Publishing Composer Audition at any time, any place. This audition is open for every new Producers & Songwriters.

Does JYP let you use your phone? ›

Trainees are allowed to use their phone. But they have to give their phones to the staff or trainers when they are having trainings. So specifically, once they enter the practice room, NO phone. The phones will be returned to them once they leave the practice room or once they return to their dorms.

JYP himself as said in interviews that he looks for upbright and warm people. He wants trainees that a their true and honest self, and they can't hide it. He ultimately wants his idols to be well behaved and well mannered. If that's you and it's noticable, you should be good for about 30%.

JYP takes very good care of their idols so weight is not an issue. But during your trainee days, you must be careful of what you eat and watch your portions. They will have you drop some weight though, but gain some if you are too skinny.

It is very hard. Most Entertainment companies will only have 15–30ish trainees underneath the label (Both genders combined). However the difficulty will vary depending on what kind of Audition you do.
