The U.S. Justice Department is suing six health plans involved in the Uniformed Services Family Health Plan program, accusing them of concealing overpayments for services to retired military members and their families, Becker’s Payer Issues reports. The department alleges that in 2012, the plans discovered calculation errors that had inflated their payment rates, but hid this from the government and continued to invoice at the inflated rate.
