Current openings inHungary
We understand that some students who travel abroad for studies, seek out countries where they can work and gain experience and even funds to support themselves while they study, this factor on its own makes a country even more attractive to the international community.
Interestingly, in Hungary students can work part-time for 20 hours per week alongside their studies and even earn a substantial amount of money to support their stay.
Most foreign students work with restaurants, stores, tourism companies, hotels, and many service jobs.
Students can comfortably cover their living costs partially through part-time jobs, a proper CV, and basic knowledge of the Hungarian language is a good foot in the door for many employers in cities like Budapest and Debrecen.
The scope of the jobs available in Hungary varies from place to place, but students typically find part-time jobs in service rendering, tutoring, arts and crafts, international business, and start-up companies. foreign students earn around €500 to €800 per month or even higher depending on the establishment.
Some steps to finding part-time jobs in Hungary;
- Create and update your LinkedIn profile – this is very important in Hungary as employers use this tool to search for employee CVs, background, and experience. Students typically start as interns or part-time employees so most cases work experience is not a determining factor for jobs in Hungary.
- Update your CV/Resume
- Look for the jobs that suit your skills and study schedule –
- Look for international companies and establishments as they tend to hire a good number of foreign students, this way there little to no reason to have any knowledge of the Hungarian language as English would suffice.
- Have an open mind and be unique – this small detail is also important especially if career internships of part-time jobs that would look good on your portfolio is what you seek.
Part-time jobs are an excellent means of gaining even more knowledge about the country and sharing new experiences as well.
Although these part-time jobs are available students might encounter certain difficulties in finding the one that suits them, we encourage you to keep searching and the right one will come.
