I have receieved 2 of their 1366 flaming blade gti boards...ordered both from new egg...1 came from CA...the other from memphis, tn....BOTH FAILED....got 1 in friday...then another today...they both shutdown shortly after booting them and I contacted Foxconn's customer support and I am yet to get a reply from them after 4 days of waiting....I have never gotten a bad product from new egg and I have built several systems...so either I am doing something wrong or they dont test their products

I have 3 Foxconn motherboards at the moment
Foxconn A7GM-S 2.0 for my media pc
Foxconn Bloodrage X58 for my gaming pc
Foxconn Blackops for my wife's computer
I just ordered a Foxconn Destroyer for my son's gaming pc which will have a Phenom II X4 955

So far I have had no issues with any of the boards. I was iffy when I bought the Bloodrage because it got so many bad reviews. But so far so good. I've had it for almost 6 months now and it still runs like a champ. I've had the Blackops for over a year now and that still runs like a champ too. I've had no problems with my Media PC. It still runs like a champ after streaming movies day in and day out.

I have thrown all my Gigabyte and ASUS boards to side right now and they're collecting dust. I didn't consider Foxconn to be great, but I've had better luck with them than Gigabyte and ASUS. I also have some MSI boards too. They're working great too.

They are good but you can get better.... It all comes down to personal preference and budget..

As far as the P55 goes I personally think it goes in this order :

1. EVGA / ASUS / AsRock / Gigabyte / MSI / Foxconn / Intel / ECS / DFI

Locally my suppliers and retailers sell FOXCONN for the more budget chipsets and at a lower price than say, Gigabyte or ASUS. I've used them in the past for smaller builds where price was an issue and I've had no issues except for support and a glitchy BIOS.

If you know what you are doing and are confident in building as well as not getting all the best bells and whistles, then you can save a few quid by going to FOXCONN. They do have experience in mass production and boards so it's not exactly like they are new to the game.

Hope that helps.

Here's My order

ASUS / Gigabtye / EVGA / MSI / Foxconn / AsRock / Intel / Biostar / DFI / ECS

The reason why I put EVGA third is because from my experience, EVGA doesn't play nice with ATI cards
and their high end boards still come with crappy on board sound, otherwise overall they make good boards
for enthusiasts.

The ASUS Maximus III looks really nice. I would get one if I didn't already have a X58 rig.
We're using the MSI P55-GD65 on 8 of our workstations here at work. It's working out great so far.
They've been up and running for almost 2 months now and not a hitch from any of them.

If you would have read my post you would have seen I where i mentioned "P55" motherboards, meaning my list only pertains to LGA 1156 and not any other platform. If we take into consideration all platforms then of course the list would be different Is Foxconn any good? (122)

I have built a few PC's with EVGA mobo's and Radeon GPU's and have never encountered any issues. If you had an issue then it was most likely human error and did not have anything to do with the hardware. Of course everyone is going to have a different order as far as their preference of mobo's, I am just giving you my list based on my experiences and/or reviews....

BTW the word "Onboard" normall means crappy, meaning if you buy a high end board you won't have to worry about "onboard" anything since you should be using a dedicated card in the first place, unless of course you are satisfied with the quality of the "onboard" .....

Of course I read your post. I know you are talking about P55 boards.
I build custom computers every week (on the side), and out of all the P55/LGA 1156 builds,
I have not used an EVGA boards yet. ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, and Intel is what I've used so far.
Intel is by far my least favorite P55 board. You would think that Intel would release something
that has all the bells and whistle to support their chips.

But anyways, this thread was about Foxconn P55 boards.
Foxconn has a reputation of putting out buggy stuff. So I would wait a few more months before trying out Foxconn.
The Bloodrage was buggy too when it was first released, but they've released several BIOS fixes since then and now
its pretty stable.

Yea the Intel boards suck to say the least. Last time I saw an Intel P55 mobo it oveheated due to not having proper cooling on the chipset. Don't know what Intel was thinking...

you can clearly see that the heatsink is 100% crappola
