The two Frisco investors behind Performance Indoor Training+ — a large indoor soccer facility near Toyota Park in Frisco — have acquired a 40-acre sports park in Plano to expand its North Texas soccer footprint.
The founders of PIT+ have seen overwhelming success from its 56,000-square-foot indoor soccer facility and wanted to expand to the outdoor league space in Plano, said James Meese, co-founder of The PIT+.
"We look forward to revealing our new facility, designed to support athletic programs in the local community," said Meese, who plans to make the big unveil at a grand opening celebration in May.
The 40-acre sports complex, Dynamic Sports Park, at 4401 14th St. in Plano will give sports leagues, youth groups and families more than 25 fields, an air-conditioned clubhouse and training programs through Peter Luccin Academy.
The sports park, which will be renamed PIT+ Outdoor, is expected to host at least 10 tournaments each year, including two national tournaments. The staff of Dynamic Sports Park will remain the same, but the facilities, concession stands and equipment will be upgraded for players and visitors.
The founders of PIT+ plan to host a grand opening celebration on May 14, which is open to the public.
