How do I access my account online?
Your advisor will provide you with the necessary steps for online account access, if their firm offers it. If you are locked out of your account, their firm can reset your access.
How do I change my document delivery preferences?
To change your document delivery preferences, you will need to log in to your account via the website from your financial organization. Go to the Account Profile screen, ensure you have a valid e-mail address on file and update your delivery preferences. If you have additional questions about how to go paperless please contact your advisor.
Who can I talk to about my account?
Pershing is a business to business provider. Any account opened in your name has been opened with a financial organization. Please contact your advisor for assistance. You can find the company name on your statement, tax forms or your account application. Pershing can verify the balance of your account. If you need an account balance verification, please call Customer Service at 201-413-3333. For all other questions, please contact your advisor.
How do I request tax documents or forms?
Contact your advisor to obtain any monthly statements or tax forms. If you are contacted by the IRS regarding prior year taxes, contact your financial organization listed on the form. You can also visit our investor tax information and resources page.
My financial organization closed. What should I do?
If your financial organization is no longer in business call (201) 761-5499. Leave your information and someone will return your call. This is only for accounts where there is no financial advisor associated with the account.
I'd like to change financial organizations. Can you recommend someone else?
Pershing cannot recommend another firm. A list of financial organizations in your geographical area can be found at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) website.
