Marcus: Detroit, it’s just changed so much. You can see what it once was. And then, I think about what it can be. As an entrepreneur, I saw an opportunity to redevelop these communities. That’s how I ended up with Detroit Pizza Bar. We want to create jobs, but we also want to create a great community. If we want Detroit to thrive, we can’t forget about the people that was ride-or-die with this city. These were the people that kept the lights on. It’s about how I can give them the tools to empower themselves. If we can just all do something small to make somebody else’s life better, all the small things will start to amount to something big.
