The first thing you need to do to qualify for a bonus is to join through an invitation link. Crypto.com has a referral program that will reward its members for inviting other people to join the site.

After you’ve registered as a member using the invitation link, you will have to complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) process. To complete Crypto.com’s KYC, you will need to take a selfie and a photo of your government-issued ID.

When taking a photo of your government-issued ID, you have to make sure all the important details are readable (your name, birth date, etc.). If you take a bad photo of your ID, your application will not be accepted.

It can take up to three business days for your KYC application to be approved, but typically, it will only take a couple of hours.

#2 – Staking your CRO

The next step to claim your Crypto.com bonus is to stake CRO coins for 180 days. CRO is Crypto.com’s own cryptocurrency, and it is short for Cronos.

The amount you need to put in staking will have to be at least $400 worth of CRO coins. That means you have to put up a certain amount in order to claim your bonus. If you are not prepared to do this, or you simply can’t afford it, then you won’t be able to get the bonus.

Now, if you think $400 is a huge amount, you don’t actually have to worry because you can get it back once the staking period is over. And best of all, you will earn a bit of money too. So, just think of the upfront expense as an investment.

Is it worth unlocking the Crypto.com joining bonus?

Now, since getting the joining bonus involves investing money ($400 or more), you might be wondering, is it really worth it?

That’s a fair question to ask, and, in my opinion, it can be. That is, of course, if you really want to get into the cryptocurrency investing world.

As explained earlier, you will actually get back the money you invested to get the joining bonus of Crypto.com. Plus, you will also earn a certain amount of CRO coins. That alone should be a good enough reason to unlock the joining bonus.

The value of CRO has the potential to increase (as explained in my earning example above), so there is a possibility that you can earn a decent amount.
