6 tips for shopping at Anthropologie on a budget & how I find deals for $9.95 in Anthro stores!

I love Anthropologie so much!!!

If I could live in Anthropologie I would.

Luckily, it’s a store & you can purchase anything you love… if you have the money that is.

Unfortunately, not all of us who walk by the beautiful doors of Anthropologie can afford such exquisite, if not incredibly expensive, purchases.

On a recent trip to Anthropologie I decided to pull out my phone & Periscope about how I shop at Anthropologie on a budget. After giving my three tips I decided I couldn’t put the subject to rest until I had shared it with all of you on heretoo.

While Periscoping I shared with youtwo new items I purchased, a light jacket for $19.95 & a sheer long sleeve shirt for $9.95. My Periscope viewers were amazed that I had found such a great steal. I mentioned that this wasn’t my first time & that I had 3, 4, maybe 5 shirts at home that I had bought at this price this year.

When I gothome I immediately went to my closet to count my Anthropologie scores. Turns out I have 7 shirts form Anthropologie that I purchased for only $9.95 (that doesn’t even include the ones I have bought for my sister at this price!)!

Update: I have bought so many tops for $9.95 at my local Athro I have lost count!
I have even bought several pairs of pants for $9.95 & a dress for under $20!

Just writing about these amazing scores makes me want to head straight to Anthropologie right now.

Luckily I have a sister date to Anthropologie this weekend!

1. Join the Anthropologie Loyalty Club

2. Shop Sales

Mark sale dates in your calendar & don’tmiss them.

There is never a reason to pay full price when stores are constantly having special sales!

One of my favorite sales is their after Christmas sale. Last year my sister (in-laws) & I headed to Anthropologie the day after Christmas & scored some majorly discounted tops& dresses!

3. Visit Anthropologie Regularly

I give this tip with caution. If you cannot reframefrom buying something every time you go to Anthropologie than you might not want to read this tip.

Now I don’t know how often normal people shop. My husband is in dental school so I don’t go shopping very often. But as is anything, the more you go the more you will find.

Almost every time I have been to Anthropologie this year I have found an incredible deal. We are talking between $9 & $19 for items that were originallyfrom $40 to $129. If I went more regularly I would find these deals more often & believe me it is very tempting.

4. Shop out of Season

Don’t be afraid to buy that really cute top that’s on sale even though you won’t be able to wear it for another six months.

I promise the season will come again.

And how exciting is it towalkinto your closet a few months later, having forgotten what you purchased, only to find something brand new to wear that cost only 2 cups of over priced coffee?!

5. Thoroughly Search the SaleSection

This is the best tip I could give you.

When I go to Anthropologie I make a beeline to the salesection & then work my way through the entire section, one piece of clothing at a time.

Yes, it is time consuming.

Yes, it is totally worth it!!

Tip #1 Work through the whole clearence section looking at everything.

Sometimes I will find several of the same shirt on sale in different sizes making it an easy find.

Other times (like this last time) I will only find one cute shirt for $9.95that wastightlysandwiched between two items I wouldn’t normally look at or ever purchase.

It really pays off to look at everything!!

Tip #2 Look at everything.

I know this sounds like a repeat of thelast tip, but I really want you to know what this means because it’s really important.

Just because there is a whole line of shirts or dresses in the salesection out of your price range doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look at them. The reason you look at every item in the salesection is because you never know when 1out of 10 of the same topsis going to be marked lower than the others.

Sometimes the shirt is just missing a button so they mark it down. All you have to do is sew the extra button on… Seriously, it happens.

Tip #3 Look for hidden treasures

Shoppers often forget to look underneath the beautiful array of saleitems where there is always many thingsthat have fallen off the rack, completely forgotten.

This is your chance to find something that was overlooked & way underpriced!

6. Talk to the Employees

This one is pretty simple, while checking out casuallyask when & how often they update the salesection.

This way you willget a better idea of how often & when you need to swing by Anthropologie’s salesection.

Ps. I have read in a variety of places that Tuesday is the best day.
