Optimize the space that you do have and use it in the best way possible is the key to organize your small pantry!

Keeping things organized in your home is sometimes a challenge. Especially the Kitchen! There are so many ideas for an organized kitchen out there to use as inspiration.

I know I find it difficult to get the motivation to organize something the right way.

And it’s even harder to keep it organized!

Over The Door Storage

If you’re using a hallway closet like I am for your pantry, use an over the door pantry storage organizer. This fits on any size door and is slim enough that it hardly takes up any space.

Put all of your loose items in here so nothing is left sitting out.

TIP: Over-the-door shoe organizers can also be repurposed for holding small items.

Food Storage Containers

Use clear storage containers with labels. Not only do these look pretty, they are functional.

There are many different styles, shapes, and colors of food storage containers so you can choose what fits for your vibe.

Use clear, airtight containers for dry goods like pasta, rice, flour, and cereals. This not only keeps your pantry looking tidy but also helps you easily identify the contents and keeps them fresh for longer.

By putting your dried food items into clear containers, you can see what they are and take up less space.

Sometimes the original box or container that something comes in is bulky and takes up more unnecessary space.

Lazy Susan Storage

In a small space, sometimes things may be hard to get to without moving other stuff out of the way. That’s my least favorite part about having a small pantry! I move one thing to get to another and it creates chaos sometimes!

Using storage that spins to the other side while in place like a lazy susan kitchen pantry organizer is the perfect solution.

Stackable Bins + Adjustable Shelving

Use stackable dollar store bins to use the entire space from floor to ceiling. Why waste any space? These stackable bins are cheap and have an opening in the front to easily access what’s stored in them.

If you want stackable bins that are a little large, try a 4 tiered stackable shelving unit for your pantry.

Another similar way to create storage is shelving. Install adjustable shelves or a shelving system that allows you to customize the height between shelves. This will help you accommodate various-sized items and maximize vertical space.

Put Everything In Storage Bins or Baskets!

I really mean everything! If you start leaving stuff on a random shelf or if it doesn’t have a place to go, your pantry will start looking cluttered.

Pantry storage bins should be used for everything that’s going in your pantry.

Invest in storage baskets, bins, or drawer organizers to group similar items together. You can use them for snacks, canned goods, spices, or even kitchen gadgets. Label the containers for easy access.

Make Sure You Label Everything

Unless you have laser vision, you won’t know what’s in something unless you can directly see it or if its labeled.

I would even use labels for your spices. Using refillable spice containers with labels instead of the original ones makes you only keep 1 of each spice!

Create A Zoning System

Organize your pantry into zones based on the types of items you store.

For example, have a baking zone, a breakfast zone, a canned goods zone, and so on. This makes it easier to find what you need and maintain order.
