Since you are considering a long-term investment, you can start investing though a Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) in equity mutual funds. You can consider good diversified funds for this goal. Assuming an annual return of 10-12 per cent, you need to invest Rs 12,000-15,000 per month.
You should consult a good financial advisor to achieve your goal. The advisor would plan your finances in the most optimal way.
