You’ll pay the real estate agent thousands, if not tens of thousands, in commission. Do you want them to become a neutral party offering no ability to give you any advice? I doubt it!

For example, an agent won’t be able to offer guidance when an offer comes in or after the home inspection. It’s not a situation you’ll want to be in.

Unfortunately, dual agency is a conflict of interest. A home seller should never allow their agent to practice dual agency. There is a reason dual agency is banned in several states. It’s terrible for consumers.
